Nice but noisy

Love the room love the staff, but if you’re looking for a quiet room, this is not the place as there was a 4 lane Hwy. 50 yards from the hotel

Not the best experience

The milk on the buffet was expired and the hotel could definitely use some new carpeting. The people in the room next to me left two large dogs unattended. Frightened and alone, the dogs barked constantly. The hotel tried to make contact with the owners, but after 2 hours of barking, I had to request ( and received) a new room down the hall.

Room had bugs and many cob webs even after we ask them to clean it again. Orkin truck sitting at property when we arrived. Bad sign. First floor rooms very dark and dingy hall ways. Beds were ok. Place needs a good cleaning and remodel.

Bugs and maybe a roach in bathroom at night. Was on first floor. Curtains i room falling off. Small bathrooms, have to go in all the way to close door. Bed was co.fortable and was clean. Exercuse room closed. Only 1 elevatorit was slow.

I stayed at Wingate for two nights over the weekend. The hotel is okay for a quick stop and the price is reasonable. The room was basic but functional. There seem to be some long-term residents, and it got noisy at times—some were even smoking right at the main entrance, including marijuana, multiple times during our stay. The property could use some updating and deeper cleaning. Despite this, it served its purpose for a short visit, and I might stay again if the price is right.

It was very dirty. The 1st room had paint peeling off the walls and the mattress had black mold all over the sides. The 2nd room was a little better as far as the mattress. The room its self was dirty. The floor needed vacuum under the desk and ottoman. It had a very dirty sour smell to the room.

The property has not been generally updated in some time in terms of carpet, paint, wallpaper, lighting, etc. So, it was overall very drab. The elevator needs to be inspected immediately because when going up from the lobby, there is a significant jolt accompanied by a loud cracking noise. Neither is normal for an elevator on an individual basis, and combined they are telling you something bad is about to happen.

Average Hotel for the Money

It was a decent stay for the money and a convenient location. Staff were friendly, especially in the breakfast area. The elevator is a bit scary and the floor is always sticky. New carpeting throughout the hotel would be a huge upgrade- even though there were no obvious stains, the carpet is probably the main reason for the stale smoke smell. Beware if you have lung or sinus issues. We both had difficulty sleeping with blocked nasal passages and sinus pressure pain which subsided after we left.
