The best things about this place are the location and the people. Right off of Quinta Avienda maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff is super friendly and helpful with all of our requests.

Everything was great with the hotel staff / cleanliness / walkable to restaurants-shops. Only downside is that noise level from a club across the street is very loud and they closed at 3:00 am everyday /unable to get quality rest /sleep!

For the price it great, staff is super nice and helpful, close to everything in downtown and the beach Had the room with the jacuzzi. More like a tub with jets but still cool The rooms look bigger in the pictures and pool as well but it’s still great Stayed for the weekend and it was perfect

Great Hotel Great Location

I personally liked this hotel and especially the location which is a half a block from the end of 5th Street. Yes, there is bar/dance music at night, but it is over around 1-2am and my room was not facing the street. Most of the 5th Street shops and restaurants close around 11pm. There are numerous shopping centers, restaurants, safe bank ATM machines nearby (don't use the street ATMs), shops galore all up and down 5th Street and cross streets. You can walk to the beach and Cozumel Ferry on 5th Street. The Quinta Margarita staff are friendly and go out of their way to take good care of you. The free continental breakfast is okay but good. The Wi-Fi is good. My room was large, with couch, desk, sink, refrigerator, television, and free of pests. There is a laundry shop next door and for 100 pesos (around $5) they will wash your clothes. Please keep in mind for the very friendly hotel rate this is not the Hilton or other high end expensive hotel (I prefer to spend my hard-earned money on all the local tourist activities not the room that I only sleep and shower in). Also, my connecting flight from Dallas was cancelled; however, the hotel staff accommodated my day late arrival by extending my checkout date with no additional charges. If you spend your vacation in the hotel, get an all-inclusive expensive hotel. But if you spend your vacation outside of the hotel stay at the Quinta Margarita Boho Chic Hotel.

Like most other people have mentioned, there are two bars across the street that have loud bass going until three or 4 o’clock in the morning (& we were at the back of the property). If that’s something that won’t bother you, then this property is probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s got such a great aesthetic, it’s literally around the corner of 5th Avenue, the staff is super friendly & helpful, they have fantastic organic toiletries that you can use, and it’s within walking distance to just about anything you could ever want. The morning breakfast is just simple grab and go stuff, nothing spectacular, so don’t bank on that for anything. It was myself and my daughter (two women) traveling to Mexico for three days by ourselves, and I felt plenty safe. I absolutely loved it, except that we had to have our sound maker on very loud in order to be able to get sleep, because I’m a reasonably light sleeper. But I went into it knowing this, so I don’t necessarily hold it against them. Overall, great stay!

Very loud nightclubs across the street that blasts music until 2:30am most nights but other than that I had a really nice time. The rooftop pool was very peaceful. Water pressure in the shower was great too!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and in a really convenient area. Breakfast is very light and simple, more like quick toast, pastries and fruit so you’ll need something heavier later. But great stay.

The hotel is very cute. Really close to every thing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful beach at about 10 minutes walking distance. Basic free continental breakfast. The biggest downside for me was the noise! The rooms are not insulated at all. You will be “in the club” ALL NIGHT! Loud is not the word. For me that was terrible! Did not have a good night sleep since I got here. If you need quiet to sleep, DO NOT COME HERE!

The hotel was very cute. It had a beautiful courtyard full of lush plants, and a nice rooftop patio. Very convenient location. Close to 5th Ave. Steps from the grocery store, restaurants, night clubs and the beach. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely Boutique Hotel, but…

This was a beautiful boutique hotel very conveniently located to Fifth ave and the beaches. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the roof top loungers and small pool. It was only 3 ft deep, but great for a cool down. They had breakfast available but only until 10:00, and that was about when I woke up. And that was because of the club across the street. Music was excessively loud until 2:00, Friday and Saturday were always louder. And that is why breakfast should be available until noon. Hotel should also provide guests with ear plugs! Great laundry located next door and very economical. Highly recommend if you are prepared for late nights.

This is a beautiful small boutique hotel in the heart of Playa Del Carmen. Walking distance to nice restaurants and coffee shops on 5th Avenue and close to beach. Nice terrace and swimming pool. Will definitely recommend and come back.
