Perfect place to escape the city

A wonderful away-from-it-all location within striking distance from Sydney. Love the deck overlooking the vines and the room was very comfortable. Only regret is that the separately managed onsite restaurant was closed, but a more that adequate nearby alternative was easily found. Will be back.

Room was almost perfect in an excellent location, maximum 15 minutes drive to anywhere. Staff were lovely, very helpful. Only issue we had was with the hot water, there was none on our first night and from there it took around 10 minutes to reach lukewarm temperatures. We attempted to have a spa bath but couldn't get the water warm enough to enjoy it.

Peaceful & well equipped lodge

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at this lodge. It was peaceful and the room accommodated for 2 adults and a 3.5 yr old with a pull out sofa bed. Perfect for the 3 of us. They had a toaster, plates and cutlery for our convenience. The mattress was a bit soft though, but other than that was a nice stay for a long weekend in the heart of all the great wineries and attractions.

Stayed at the Hermitage Lodge with 2 Adults and 2 Children. The stay was very pleasant and peaceful. Perfect for a recharge. Parking available right outside the unit and the continental breakfast was fair. Overall, a great stay and would come back again when I return to Hunter Valley. Do try the Italian restaurant onsite too, the food there was delicious.

Unfortunately when we booked, we didn’t check the restaurant hours and on arrival we were advised that it was closed for the duration of our stay. Our fault for not checking, and the reception staff were very helpful with dining recommendations. Restaurant hours on the website would have been more informative rather than just one line advice to check in amongst all the promotional stuff about the hotel and the surrounding area.
