It is on the first-floor of an elegant residence, which includes a communal area where guests can socialise. The room has a traditional vaulted stone ceiling, but the décor is clean and contemporary. It is furnished with a double bed, open wardrobes, a high breakfast bar with a coffee machine, a mini fridge and a flat-screen TV. A glass door opens onto a small balcony which overlooks the pretty street.

Location
The residence is well-placed for guests to explore the historic centre of Polignano A Mare on foot. The town dates back to the 4th-Century BC and is packed with history. It is only a 15-minute walk from Polignano a Mare’s most famous beach, Lama Monachile. This stretch of coast is known for its pristine beaches and sparkling sea. It is an ideal combination of history, culture and beach life.

Down the coast, visitors will find the town of Monopoli (15 minutes), one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting.

Away from the coast, Alberobello, (35 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants.

The closest airport is at Bari, a 45-minute drive from the apartment.
