This is where I always stay when I visit the area, the staff has always been friendly and very helpful and consistent. The room is very comfortable and clean. There's always plenty of parking. I never had any safety issues, I always feels safe around the property. The plus is, it's dog friendly. Lots of stores and restaurants within the area, less than a mile and a 1/2 away.

The property is not clean. Carpets are all dirty throughout the entire motel. They have a green policy about taking care of your room where they don't change towels or sheets for the first three days. For my stay of four days, they did not exchange my towels until the last evening due to problems with their washers/dryers. There was a hand-written message saying they were sorry.

We’ve stayed at many Baymont Wyndham properties. This was easily the worst. I could mention middle things like the remote control wasn’t working no big deal but took forever to get it repaired. I could mention to use the toilet kept running no big deal he kept the bathroom door closed. I can mention to you the soiled carpets in the guest rooms were gross, but I did learn a lesson whenever I’ll stay at a Baymont hotel again I will call ahead and make sure they have laminated flooring in the guest rooms. The soiled carpets are just too gross. Above shower was repaired but looked gross. I went down to reception to get batteries for the remote. I had to go down there three times cause there was nobody at the front desk there the phone number you called nobody comes in 3 to 5 minutes. I called the number at the front desk, rings but nobody comes out. They didn’t have spray for the waffle machine the waffles stuck. Finally, the coffee at breakfastwas warm meaning it came from last night. The outside of the property was decent for walking a dog.

We got there later in the evening and were exhausted after traveling all day. The woman that checked us in was very kind and lovely, but the good stops there. We were barely able to sleep because the television would just randomly turn on and off, and other noises from in the room. The bathroom fan would make an insanely loud screeching sound every time the light was turned on, so we had to just leave it off. The latch for the lock was broken, thankfully the deadbolt at least worked, but you had to slam the door to actually get it to shut. The carpeting was grimy and sticky with a film, there was a spot of dried blood on the sheet that we found the next morning when we woke up, as well as a mass of mold on the fabric of the bed skirt. We didnt see the blood spot or mold last night because we were too exhausted to inspect the room, but honestly we shouldn’t have to. Also, the shower head would not actually work, you could run the water from the faucet but that was it - the shower head itself wouldn’t turn on. There were major safety and health concerns with that room/hotel overall. If I would have been traveling by myself I would have left immediately on the simple fact that I would not have felt safe staying there by myself with a door that wouldn’t latch properly. I never write complaints as I understand things happen, and sometimes you get what you pay for, but you shouldn’t ever have to worry about sacrificing your health and well-being when you pay to stay somewhere.

The GOOD: 1. Staff! Everyone was friendly and helpful to the best of their abilities. 2. Cost. Reasonable. 3. Location. Right off the highway. Close to shopping/dining. About 25 minutes from Valpo. 4. Pool. Appeared well-maintained. My daughters enjoyed it. The BAD: 1. Filthy! Not talking about the bedding and counters. Housekeeping staff seems adequate enough (didn't encounter anyone directly). It's the overall facility - windows, window treatments (curtains, blinds), etc that are so laden with dirt and dust and grime that they're discolored. 2. Ventilation needs upgrade. Unknowingly booked a room with a jetted tub. The smell of mildew permeated the entire room. Additionally, the sign above the tub said it would be sanitized daily, however housekeeping doesn't come daily. In my 3 days at the hotel, the tub was not cleaned/sanitized. 3. Smoke. Smoking is permitted right near the entrance, causing breathing difficulty for those with asthma.
