The staff was friendly and the facility was clean but old and a little worn. Certain areas such as the pool were under renovations, and there was no breakfast at all. There was, however, a good diner within walking distance.
This is at Prescott Park. You cannot walk from the hotel but there was free parking on Pierce Island and it was a short walk to the park from there.

Is kinda a sketchy hotel. We watched 2 employees (who appear to live on the property) roll in at like 11pm and proceed to spit on the motorcycle in the parking lot of one of the other guests. It’s a decent enough hotel I guess, but has a sketchy vibe all about it.

We booked the wrong Anchorage Inn by mistake. After countless phone calls and trying to secure another reservation in Portsmouth, and no luck, we decided to stay. Tom was super personable and friendly. He made up for the lack of amenities. He greeted us when we arrived back at the hotel and asked about our evenings. He was helpful in selecting spots to dine and places to go. It was always a great conversation with Tom! By the time we left, we felt like he was our friend. For sure, the establishment needs bigger towels, more charging stations, cleaner floors, and more amenities, but our room was clean. The bed was comfortable the sheets were cleaned. Thank You Tom!

LOOK AT THE GOOGLE REVIEWS FIRST!!!

When we arrived and anchorage inns the place looked deserted. There were no lights on in the lobby (they turned them on after we mention something upon checking in), and the parking lot looked abandoned and in desperate need of repair. The man at the desk was nice at first and informed us the place was fully booked contrary to the parking lot. We checked in and headed to our room. However the halls we dirty, the carpeting was torn and stained, and it smelled like someone dumped an entire bottle (or several) of the worst smelling air freshener/cleaner I’ve ever smelled in my entire existence on this planet! The entire hotel was “under construction” and from the google reviews I’ve read has been since AT LEAST March of 2024. The room looked NOTHING like the pictures displayed online. The mattresses were old and had flakes of who knows what on them. We promptly headed back to the front desk and were told we could have another room but that was all they could do. We asked for any contact info for management and were given an email. We left and went to another hotel near by. I hope this review stays on the website as it seems only positive reviews are left here.
