I’ve stayed at this place a few times and usually it’s ok. This time was a little different. Our room was ok but the bathroom was not clean. The drain in the shower was disgusting and there was mold in the shower. The shower was so gross. We didn’t even use it.

Very pleasant stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were both very smooth, and the complimentary breakfast was ample and well-stocked. Room was clean -- the only issue was a towel rack that was poorly installed and fell off the wall during our stay. Location is perfect if you need to be in Dover, Rochester, or event Portsmouth (about a 10-15 minute drive). No frills, but very warm and welcoming.

Room 230 needs a lot of updates There is mold in the shower, the furniture is old and damaged, and this room has very limited storage. One night there was an argument in a room close by and the door was slamming and people yelling. The pool is closed, apparently till spring.

Great staff. Had an issue with our first room, but were quickly moved to another. Kitchenette very convenient, although the scratched teflon pan(s) should be replaced. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausage, make own pancakes(hands free) & tasty bagels.

The Garrison Hotel is very well located, making it convenient to get around the city. Check-in was quick, smooth, and handled by friendly staff, which was appreciated after a long day of travel. That said, the hotel itself is quite dated, and this showed during our stay. The heater in our room did not function properly—it was either blasting full heat or completely off—making it difficult to maintain a comfortable sleeping temperature. Additionally, no housekeeping service was provided to our room during our stay, which was disappointing. Overall, the location and staff were positives, but the aging facilities and lack of room servicing impacted the overall comfort of the stay.
