Always love staying at Hyatt! Rooms are always very clean great shower, love the kitchenette, their breakfast buffet is delicious. Also the close dining options is great. Staff is always prompt to accommodate any needs. I stay here frequently and love it! Staff is always friendly and always asks how I enjoyed my stay!

Expedia falsely identified the room and when I checked in and said something to the staff they told me it happens all the time with Expedia. Showed my room having a kitchenette and when I checked in it did not. When I tried to get upgraded they told me they were sold out

Our stay here was absolutely horrible and our trip to New York was ruined because this horrible stay at Hyatt House. From our arrival on Sunday we were put in a room that was completely unclean ( urine & feces on the toilet and walls, pubic hair over the sink and throughout the room, food splatter and other matter on the walls and doors, bathroom sink backing up). We were moved twice. The final room we stayed in had the same problems as the first room and then some. The final room also had issues with the toilet not working properly. The Chief Engineer, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Operations Manager were all informed of this and tge rest of the issues. Well, nothing was done and the toilet backed up and flooded the second bedroom suite. We had to stay in this room being exposed to toxic toilet water and mildew from the wet carpet. In addition, the water was shut off for 2 days denying us access to running water. I requested a full refund based on the fact that our rights to reasonable safety and comfort during our stay was taken away from us. I am still requesting a full refund from Expedia/Hyatt House. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York State Attorney and FTC Consumer Protection Bureau.

The property is very old which is fine, especially for what you get. But the hotel seemed horribly understaffed. The decor is horrible. The bartender Noah was great. Its located conveniently to what we needed it to be close to. However, my mom slipped on the extremely slippery wet tile around the hot tub and hurt herself badly. There were no signs indicating tbat the are was very slippery, and I had to take it upon myself to put towels down so that others didnt do the same. Additinally, once staff was informed of the situation, they didnt give off the impression of being terribly concerned about it. And no one from managament reached out. We were not offered any sort of assurance that the issue would be fixed in the future, neither were we offered any sort of compensation or any offers to offset any inconvenience or pain suffered. There was no offer of atonement or attempt to rectify anything. My mother is 71 years old and could have and may still be seriously injured. I wasnt impressed.

I wasn’t given the room I booked online and the hot tub was out of service. The bathroom didn’t even have a bathtub to save my life with my body aches. The breakfast bar was taken down an hour early so we missed it a couple of times. Other than these things, staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I’m very grateful for the necessities none the less…

Everything about our stay was good. I thought the breakfast was a nice addition. We did not use the pool. There were plenty of families at the hotel so I’m assuming that they cater to families that are traveling. There were a couple good restaurants in the area. I believe we went to the red line diner, which actually seems like an upscale type diner. We enjoyed our food there.

Could benefit from more Sprucing

Buffet breakfast was very good. Accommodations were comfortable and priced affordable. The place could use some spicing… Ex. The outdoor patio near breakfast room needs some improvements…Cushions on outdoor furniture were way too small for the chairs so we’re not comfortable or inviting to sit in. The bathroom in our room also did not have a working exhaust fan.
