Natural house in an atypical site

Bio-climatic house (wood-land-straw) self built in an old stone quarry (8000m²). It consists of three parts: The small house (guest party) the winter garden (which serves as a link- it is under construction) and the main house.
The whole is bordered by wooden terraces (douglas) without link between them.
An access ramp (slope about 6%) unsecured to this day (07/01/18) allows a chair to easily access the winter garden. All doors are 83cm.
The guest party is facing south with two large bays of 9m ² offers a beautiful view of the grove. It is bordered on the west by two terraces of different levels (about 6m ² each).
Inside: A bedroom area (bed 140 and possibility of a second sleeping) kitchen and bathroom (walk-in shower and TOILET DRY !!)

Very peaceful

We chose this property for the reasonable price and proximity to Puy du Fou and it served us well. It is well equipped for cooking (we made 2 dinners) and there a is great selection of food nearby at the Super U. It is especially quiet at night which we appreciated. Somehow I neglected to include our grandson when making the reservation but Jocelyn was most gracious and accommodating of my mistake. There is a good shower and the composting toilet, while unusual, is perfectly fine. I would suggest 2 small changes, a thicker/softer mattress and wifi booster. We would be happy to visit again.

Unique stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique property in a stunning location. Christian and Jocelyne were fantastic hosts, attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The house is an innovative, green build and how we should all be building houses these days. The composting toilet was a different experience for us - almost seems strange to flush now! We would love to visit again.

Nous avons passé un séjour de trois journées fortes agréables. Cela nous a permis de recevoir notre fille pour un repas dans ce logement.En effet, il s'agit d'un habitat atypique. C'était la première fois que nous utilisons les toilettes sèches. Ce n'est pas difficile mais il faut être prêt à cela.

petite maison zen et chaleureuse

Nous venons de passer 3 jours très agréable chez Jocelyne et Christian. La maison qu'ils proposent à la location correspond exactement à la description. L',endroit est absolument charmant, très calme , la petite maison est tout confort, les lits confortables, tout ce qu'il faut pour la cuisine, salle de bain nickel. très bon accueil de Christian, nous vous recommandons ce lieu et seulement à 20 mn du Puy du Fou

Un ptit bout de paradis

Un endroit calme et superbe. La maison est dans un écrin de verdure, la vue par les grandes fenêtres est magnifique. Christian et Jocelyne sont des personnes charmantes et ancrées dans leurs valeurs et convictions. Nous serions bien restés une semaine de plus juste pour échanger davantage avec eux ! Les enfants ont également adorés leur séjours. Il y a pleins d'activités possible en moins de 20 min qui plaisent autant aux adultes qu'aux enfants ! Bien sûr le Puy du Fou mais je recommande également la visite de "la savonnerie des collines". Bref nous sommes ravis !

Problèmes de dos? Fuyez!

Des hôtes accueillants, un lieu très joli. Cela se corse une fois arrivés dans les lieux, des clic-clac en guise de sommiers, des matelas qui n'en sont pas, pas de Wi-Fi, pas de télévision mais pas non plus de salon pour la regarder, donc... Des équipements de cuisines très limités voir dangereux, une table de cuisine instable etc. Je suis navrée d'émettre ces critiques car les hôtes sont très agréables, cependant depuis ces deux nuits passées dans ce gîte, (dont une de péniblement 4h à cause de la literie), j'ai un terrible lumbago, moi qui n'ai jamais eu auparavant de problème de dos.
