Booked for 3 nights but checked out after 1

Check in was really quick and easy but we ended up leaving after our first night because the hotel was disgusting. Our bed sheets had a mysterious stain that looked like blood. The shower curtain had stains on it too. Housekeeping is only available upon request instead just being a given. We had to go to the lobby to get clean towels. The bathroom is super small, so small that the sink is actually located outside the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and our neighbor kept us up all night talking on the phone. The pictures of the hotel were taken right after a renovation, so it doesn’t look exactly like what you’re seeing. The SureStay is very budget friendly, but keep in mind what that means you’re getting. We ended up going to the Hilton down the street and it was way better.

They put me in a room with 2 tv remotes to a tv that doesnt work! If they had told me when I checked-in I would have been okay with it but asked for a discount. They did have another room they gave me after I was settled in my room.

Bathroom was dirty, shower was clogged, toilet seat was broke, window blind was broken … and my wife tripped on a crumpled up piece of carpet in the main walkway when we were leaving. Also the three days we stayed there … our room was never cleaned. I requested for two days to get it done .. but was never taken care of.

Clean and reasonably priced.

The only reasonably priced decent hotel in the Presque Isle area. I’ve stayed at every hotel in Presque Isle and Caribou and determined it’s not worth trying to save money at the cheaper hotels and Hampton Inn is grossly overpriced. The rooms are clean and the service is good. My only complaint is the uncomfortable beds. I will continue to stay here anytime I’m working in the area.

Beware...

Made this booking for a meeting in the area. The night before the trip, the weather showed a big snow storm scheduled in the area for the time that I would be driving at night. I called to cancel because I was afraid to drive in the dark night (5 hour drive) through a snow storm to get to hotel. Got runaround between Hotels.com and the SureStay hotel - each sayiing it was up to the other. In the end, it was up to the hotel and they refused to cancel my reservation. I explained my worry about driving alone on the very dark Maine roads in the snowstorm, but they had no concern for my safety. The result was a stressful, frightening 30 mph driive through a snow storm because the hotel did not care about. guest safety. I will never stay with them again.
