We have stayed at several Grand Palladium properties. This was by far the smallest and oldest hotel. There were less dining options than the other resorts and overall the resort was just a bit more run down with a lot of common areas lacking air conditioning. With that being said, service was excellent, the food was the best of any of the other Palladium resorts I have been to and the views and beach were outstanding.

We would like to thank Expedia concierge Terence Leslie for his excellent service during our stay. He kept in touch with us on the very first day and until the day we checked out. Each day he would checked in (via WhatsApp) to enquire and address any concerns. The only issue we had during our stay was our room temperature stayed at a fixed temperature, nice and comfortable during the day but very cold overnight. The second night we had extra blankets and even that was still too cold. The third night we turned the AC off when it got too cold, turned back on after the room had warmed up. Finally, they got it fixed on the 6th day after they replaced the “thermostat “.

Resort is extremely old and run down, smells like sewage in the rooms, beds are uncomfortable and small. A/C is either non-existing in restaurants or broken. They have loud music playing until very late hours which could be heard inside our room. Food is not bad but not much selection. The worst experience for us is the departure, we booked a shuttle for 12pm and then by 12:30pm (after being told it’s coming) they told us there’s no shuttle or taxi coming for us. Place was a gong show and very disorganized, almost made us miss our flight back. We have stayed in many resorts for the same or less pricing that are much better.

1. The buffet was full of flies on the food. 2. Reservations are required at fine dining, during my five-day stay, I was only able to reserve once. It was booked everyday. 3. We stayed as a family of 5 with 3 adult sons. The resort did not have many other Americans and we did not feel especially welcomed by other guests. And the resort has very limited places with air conditioning. I understand we visited Mexico in the summer but other resorts have common areas with air to cool off but there was no escape. And the buffet was warm and closed from 1130-130, which is when most Americans eat lunch. I didn't like making reservations for dinner but was able to get reservations every night but 1. Food was great other than Asian restaurant. Will not return but it was an ok visit.

First room we were given was not what I booked. The next day we changed to a much better room and the Guest Service was also much better the the rest of the stay.

The resort was clean and the staff were very friendly, but the walk ability was horrible for seniors like ourselves. Even though we thought we were in condition the walking and going up and down stairs some without rails was difficult for us and we saw many seniors also struggling.

I can’t say anything bad about since our first day we got to the lobby. Thanks to Terrance for guide us to the hotel and offered him if we need anything to make our staying more comfortable. Our reservations for our thematic restaurants were excellent. I liked to add all servers , chefs , captains and hostess provided an exceptional service expect at the bamboo a server called Othon never offered drinks , refills or ask if anything was needed. We had to ask for our drinks even spoons for the soups. We had an issue with room we got first , safe box was not working, the sliding door won’t lock , the air conditioning was not working . We got switched to another room , everything was working , except water tub got clogged and there was a square next bathtub was loose. I would highly recommended anybody who would like to stay at the palladium Punta mita . Just take in consideration Is an hour away to the airport and taxis get really expensive unless you want to take the public transportation.
