We booked 5 nights in the Patron Suite and only stayed one night. It was a night from hell. The noise level was so extreme that we felt like we were inside a nightclub. We got zero sleep that night after a long day of travel. At 1:30 am the front desk said we could go sleep in another room but at that point, I couldn’t imagine packing up all our stuff. In addition, the partial “ocean view” overlooked a car junkyard, there were cockroaches in the room, and the breakfast service was a nightmare. They had one poor lady taking orders and cooking for the entire hotel. Meanwhile, next to the dining area there were 3 men at reception doing absolutely nothing. They can’t help pour coffee? Now the hotel is saying that they won’t refund my stay, even though I was told they would, based on the “terms and conditions” of noise. I am well travelled, and love Sayulita, but I have never had such a bad experience (even in my hostel days). I understand that outside noise can sometimes be unavoidable but this was next level terrorizing. And now they won’t give a refund? On the bright side, one of the employees recommended La Puesta and it was delightful. Don’t waste your money or time at Saylinda hotel; there is nothing “linda” about it. I’m sure that the management will respond with some patronizing ChatGPT response to this review. If I could give zero stars, I would gladly do so.
