Room was very clean and spacious but it only had one trash can and it was in the bathroom. There was no light in the hallway where our room was so it was hard to unlock the door with our bracelet. View was not great from the balcony. It was very quiet. It was a great place to chill and relax. Loved seeing all the birds, turtles, iguanas while going to our room. Train was such a useful thing that this resort has. To sum it up it was a nice vacation.

We stayed at Tropical Deluxe Princess in Punta Cana and had a wonderful experience! The resort was very clean, the food was excellent, and there was always plenty to do for both kids and adults. We weren’t able to reserve the specialty restaurants, but honestly that didn’t matter because the buffet was so good and offered a wide variety. One minor drawback was the vendors on the beach, which I thought would be more of an issue, but we just spent more time at the pool and it wasn’t a problem. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we definitely plan to come back!

Our trip was a nightmare. First, you can’t make a reservation for most of the on-site restaurants until 3 days prior. But you have to be there to do so. Those restaurants were underwhelming at best. There is a 24-hour sports bar. Just skip it. The food was awful. A chicken wing was actually a soggy chicken spine fried and dipped in a curry sauce. There is a buffet and it was a mixed bag. Avoid the burgers, stick with any Dominican dishes, fresh fruit. We were there at a time when there was a lot of seaweed washing up on the beach. When that seaweed bakes in the sun it is awful. Multiple times we asked for extra towels. At best, it took three hours to get them. At worst, eleven hours. If you do not speak fluent Spanish, you will have issues. Either the staff will not tell you things or they will refuse to help you. When the bellhop refuses to come because “I no speak English” and then hangs up, the service is clearly lacking. Our room was small but nice. Except for the smell of mold. It caused my wife to get sick every night of our stay. By the time the resort was willing to let us change rooms, we decided to leave — four days early. Nice things? Wild animals roaming the property. The pools are nice but crowded. The drinks at the pool bars are excellent.

We loved our stay at Tropical Deluxe Princess. My kids swam in the pools by the kid area. They also took advantage of the Kids Club House. We ate at the Buffett for breakfast and dinner but as they were playing in the water, they chose to eat lunch at the pool bar area close to the beach. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff was so kind. Only downside was out of their control, so much seaweed at the beach it wasn’t like the beautiful beach pics we saw. However, we heard that it was happening in other places/countries as well. Base on my experience, I would return to this resort again. I highly recommend it.

The property had unhelpful concierge. It also seemed disorganized. The hotel rooms required transportation from lobby, making this so inconvenient because you have to wait to get picked up and be aggressive to go in and sit before others who came afterwards go in. The pavement was uneven,making it unsafe. The pools were not clear (it was cloudy). There was floating hair, band aid, and what looked like a turd. The restaurant food was bland and the meats were chewy. There was always at least one staff member who had the worst attitude. Please stay clear of Mexican restaurant, the food is not edible! The Brazilian restaurant was good, but the only woman waitress was so nasty! The entertainment team and their shows were impressive and truly so much fun. However, there is no real night life at this resort. The transportation comes every 30 minutes to take people in the evening to casino/dance club. The drive is two minutes away. The staff at the club were pressuring us to buy bottles and drink, even though, we were entitled to two free drinks. My friend bought a drink and hooka. The "manager" came over and yelled at the person who sold the hooka because he wanted us to buy a bottle. The whole time we were there they stare us down and kept asking what else can i get you? They said if you dont get something more by 2am, you have to leave the area. At 1:50 they kept circling us, like a count down. Also no one can get in water at beach at resort.because of brown seaweed.

This hotel is 100/10 especially if you travelling with family. Its a great all inclusive hotel where dont nzed to think about anything but enjoy your stay 😊 the staff is great very friendly, the activities in the hotel are great i tried Achery for the 1st time and i love it. Everything is great from the pools to the buffet and the different animations. The only bummer is the italian restaurant its a big NO except that Tropical Princess is really giving what it suppose to give Period!!!!

The property is really nice and well kept. Rooms are comfortable. However HUGE disappointment with dining options. All restaurants require reservations besides fhe buffet. NOTHING was available to book on the app for another 2-3 days for ALL restaurants. That is terrible. I was unable to dine anywhere else but the buffet with my family for the 3 days we visited. The check in took a really long time also. Staff was talking amongst themselves. Drink were watered down. To travel around you need the golf carts and the wait time was ridiculous since the resort was crowded. I was expecting so much more from this resort.

If you have any issues with your room good luck !!! We called 3-4 times, spoke to few managers. Finally I had to go and yelled at some manager , still wait a day to fix doors. No water in the room one evening. They gonna try you to buy their membership, but salesmans are rude and pushing hard. They worst off all I met before.

We had an issue with the amount I paid they assured that I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 baby… but I have the proof that I booked for 2 adults and 12 years old child ….and they overcharged me for my child. We had only one bed, nevertheless I’ve booked a room with 2 double beds. So after the check in they promised to fix the sofa bed at the first night, but they didn’t come so we slept very uncomfortable the first night. The second day the fix the sofa but they forgot the pillows… we had to remind them many times…

This was our 6th straycat Tropical Princess Deluxe & Caribe Princess Deluxe Resort and as always the service was great to us. People working there are amaizing and this is the main reason webare always going back. Its a home away from home for us. We see the difference once the "local people" are coming to the resort on the weekend... its the only downside..their behavior.. they will let you feel that you are not important ad them. This year the beach condition was horrible HORRIBLE never seen anything like this in my life but its the nature its the ocean.. tons of seaweed.. hotel crew was working so hard to clean it but it was so much that they were simply not able to clean it. All the Resorts around had the same situation, the whole Punta Cana looked the same from the beach side. We go back to this place because the staff is amazing, the resort and the surroundings are beautiful. We cannot wait to go back next year !

It was overall good. In August 2025, I noticed it was decently full but not overcrowded. It should be noted that there is a record amount of seaweed in that area, so the beach was disappointing. The seaweed was so bad that no one was cleaning it off, besides a tractor barely making progress at the princess hotel down the beach. I’d recommend checking the condition of the beach before booking.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities

The gardens/landscaping were well kept and beautiful, however, there were several areas with broken/cracked tiles in the common walkways and by the pools. My family enjoyed the wildlife and walking through the mangroves on our way to and from the lobby area! The room was comfortable with 2 separate sleeping areas including bunk beds and a king bed and 2 bathrooms. Housekeeping did a great job making sure the room was clean, however we had consistent issues getting clean towels and face cloths. The buffet seating is all open air/outdoors and there are a lot of birds that fly around the tables, often leaving behind droppings on the seats and even tables/placemats. We were always very cautious to check and make sure the table and seats were clean of bird poop before sitting. The buffet food was average at best, and the 4 a la cart restaurants we managed to get reservations for were good not great. This is not the resort for you if you're looking for exceptional fine dining, but we always found something to eat, even our picky 12 year old. We did thoroughly enjoy the coffee shop and ice cream shop. The staff was always so welcoming, the pastry selections were delicious, and the coffee drinks were amazing! Overall, we had a relaxing week away and feel it was on point as to what we paid to stay there.
