Hike the private trails, unwind by the fire, or sip coffee on the porch. From creekside drives to starry nights, this secluded retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and quiet escape from the everyday.
We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the back entrance prior to check-in. The owners are local, and will be able to be reached by platform messaging during the duration of your stay.

About the Cabin:
This peaceful A-frame cabin offers forest views, a wraparound deck, and a private hot tub — perfect for a relaxing escape.

Fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and open living room with wood stove.

5 twin beds:
2 in room on main level, 2 in second room on main level (twin with trundle underneath).
1 queen (which is the pull out sleeper couch) (main level).
1 king in master bedroom (upstairs) with attached full bath.
1 twin day bed outside of master suite.
Outside:
Hot tub, porch seating, forest views, and a private wooded drive.
The property is approximately 25 minutes from I-81 and about 15 minutes from Route 11, making it easily accessible while still offering total seclusion. Guests can park directly at the cabin — there's a private gravel driveway with ample space for multiple vehicles right next to the home.
Trash cans will be located under the deck @ sliding glass door. If guest has excessive trash there is free
dumping sites in Floyd, one being about a mile away. (guest can google "green dumpsters in Floyd" for nearest
bin.
-The driveway is steep, but was created so that a front wheel drive car is able to make it up to the property. (taking the turns wide may also help guest.)
-On exit- there is a steel bridge before you get to main road. Look to the left before exiting (there is a sign for reminder) before turning as there is a curve.
-Guests will have access to a charcoal grill. Guests will need to bring their own charcoal for use.
-The coffee pot is a "ninja" brand coffee maker. It can be used with pods or regular grounds. Both will be provided by the host.
-Roku TV
-Google nest thermostat. (guest can put it to their liking.) There will be signage next to thermostat for min/max during seasons)
-There is a trail on the property for guests to enjoy a minimal hike. There will be a map/reference of the trail on glass coffee
table
-The only cabinet that will have the child lock on it is under the sink.
-Only room with blackout curtains is the master bedroom upstairs.

. Pets are allowed, with an additional fee! We ask guests include a statement from the owner or other evidence ( vet records ) that the pet is on regular flea and tick treatment. Minimum age of the pet should be at least 1 year. Clean up of droppings immediately around the cabin, driveway, and areas that are regularly traversed, is required.

Propane (for grill):
1. There MAY BE a propane tank available at the house.
2.If you see a tank, you may use it for the grill.
3.If the tank is empty, guests are responsible for refilling it.
4.We DO NOT provide propane refills.
We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Please message us before arrival with any severe allergies so we can confirm whether accommodations are possible.
Important winter travel note: This cabin is in a rural mountain area and road conditions can change quickly in snow and ice.
-4WD or AWD is strongly recommended in winter.
-Tire chains may be required during snow and icy conditions. If you do not have chains when conditions require them, you may not be able to reach the cabin safely.
-Please arrive before dark whenever possible in winter. Navigation and visibility can be difficult at night.
-If you are driving an EV, please plan carefully:
-Charge fully before entering the rural/mountain roads.
-Cold weather and elevation can reduce range.
-Charging stations may be limited and a tow may not be able to reach you quickly in poor conditions.
-If weather conditions are unsafe or access is not reliable, we may request that you reschedule for everyone’s safety.
Locating the cabin (final approach)
-As you near the cabin, you’ll see a sign on a tree pointing toward the house.
-If you’re at the steel bridge near the barn and river:
-Cross the steel bridge, heading away from the main road.
-Immediately after the bridge, the gravel road will fork.
-Take the left fork (do not continue straight).
-Follow the road up the mountain for about 0.25 mile on a gentle incline.
-This road leads directly to the house.
Note: There are no lights on this section, so arriving before dark is strongly recommended. Use your phone flashlight / flashlight if needed.
