Enjoyed my stay in Banya! No info was provided at check-in. However, it is a small hotel so it was easy to navigate and find out for oneself where the facilities were. Most of the info is on the TV anyway. Found out later that the pools and SPA centre was open from 09:00 to 21:00hours. This was not ideal for me as I prefer to swim and use the Thermal Pool first thing in the morning after exercise.
The hotel location is next to the historical Ottoman Bathhouse situated in a beautiful little park. There is a water fountain there for those who would rather drink fresh water from the mountains; given that the hotel charges for coffee, tea and water!
The pools had tepid water and the Thermal pool was nice and hot but is outside.
Regnum Hotel Banya has a smart modern deco and very clean. Staff is very helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble.
I enjoyed the delicious array at breakfast which included Turkish tea! This was typical of Turkish breakfast. I did not try the hotel dinners as I do not like buffet food. I also enjoyed eating authentic Bulgarian food from the Village.
The only caveat about my stay was the building works going on next to the hotel. I could not sit on the balcony because of this and the noise of the workmen during the day. It would have been better if the workmen cleaned up the area!!! It was messy. Of course this is no fault of Regnum Hotel that someone else is building holiday chalets next door.
