Review for those seeking beach views and heated indoor pool I was looking forward to staying at the Hyatt Place Dewey especially after reading the top notch reviews. My criteria was close to the beach, heated indoor pool, clean quite rooms and it seemed the reviews checked everything. We are a family of four-consisting of two adults and two toddlers and booked the hotel for two nights. Checked-in with the kids held by both us so the check-in clerk saw us. The first room giving had a window pointing to the breakfast middle area of the hotel and the offices on the same floor-yes, I could see a lady working on her computer desk. The bed had a visible hair-yack! Do you really think we booked and dragged out family out here in the winter season to see the inside walls of the hotel-it felt like a prison. So my husband went down and told her that the room has no daylight. She moved us to another room facing the road-yay! Better the indoor prison but still prioritize giving families with kids with rooms at least with some side view of the bay. The good thing was the windows are trully double insulated and you don’t hear the cars on the road and the room was clean-thank the cleaning crew. Pool was not heated – see Google review for lengthy review

Nice hotel could use directional plaques.

The pool was not working when we arrived, which was unfortunate as our son was excited for the pool. The toilet has issues in the hotel room as well. When you would flush it, it would rise up and then flush very slowly…there was no going number 2 in there.

The staff members were very nice. Was not able to control the room temperature which led to unbearable sleeping conditions. Walls are paper thin. Guests sharing the same floor were parting until early hours of the morning.

Ok stay

For a 2 night stay we were hoping to have a room at least looking outside. It was like being in an inside cabin on a cruise. The window had a scene with a sand dune. I felt claustrophobic. The front desk wasn’t very friendly or accommodating.
