We only spent two nights and did not spend much time at the house during the day. For the price, we felt like things were good. The house was clearly renovated quickly to be a rental. The bedroom and bathroom doors don’t close well. They get stuck so you can’t close them easily. The walls need more paint. The spackle patches are clearly visible through the paint. One highlight is the water pressure! Excellent!! There is lots of space in the bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the kitchen. There is also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in each bathroom. There were things to be cautious of. The back door frame is very low. Be careful not to bump your head! The floors are very uneven. The step in and out of the kitchen is marked as well as the slant into the living room. The living room floor has some bumps and so do the bedrooms. Be careful when you walk around particularly if you have infirmities. The house was clean. We did have some issues with sheets that had what looked like blood stains. We contacted Britt right away and were able to find other sheets. The ad says the house sleeps 6. The reality is that there is bed space for 5 and an air mattress for the 6th person. We paid for 6 people and ended up only having 3 stay at the house with us, so we didn’t need to figure out who was going to have to sleep on an air mattress!! All in all, our time was good and we slept well!

Positives: easy check in. Owner was responsive. Close to everything. House had plenty of room. Was well stocked. Like shower essentials, towels, kitchenware. Has great water pressure. Negatives: renovation is shotty at best. Mattresses were old & uncomfortable. Wasn’t that clean. Mainly the floors. Outlet behind the master bed didn’t have a cover & sparked fire at me when I tried to plug in my cell phone. Floors are uneven. Couldn’t close some the doors. There was a steel door security bar to put on door because doors are uneven & don’t close that well. There’s a lot of street noise because of where it’s located. We didn’t feel the safest but didn’t have any issues either. It’s an old house. So it will & does have issues.

The property was fine for our 2 night trip: close to Berry College, downtown with restaurants and Publix was just around the corner. The house was clean and provided basic necessities. It was reasonably priced and the owner was very attentive. The overall condition and surroundings were a little underwhelming.

All that You Need

This house has a lot of character. The sloping floors fit with other houses of this location and era. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms and kitchen has what you need for simple day to day cooking. Near the Main Street but not excessive city sounds. The neighbors are great. The Sweet Bar on the corner is a fun go to for a breakfast treat.

Needs exterminator

From looking at pics to actually seeing this Vrbo was nothing like the pics Very shotty Reno. Floors were not leveled anywhere in this house. It was clean but there were roaches everywhere which was disgusting and we didn’t want to put our luggage and bags down for fear of bringing them home with us. The neighborhood was a little shady! If we ever visit again we will find a hotel. This Vrbo was falsely advertised. The beds were practically sitting on the floor. We’d major work to be a nice VRBO
