This hotel is as wonderful as they say. Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is delicious and has the best coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good. We stayed here for 1 night, pre cruise out of Southampton. It was only a 30 minute taxi ride to port. Romsey is a small (1,000 people) town, the prettiest little English town you'll ever see. I wish we could have stayed longer. Not touristy and easy to navigate. One of those "out of the way" " off the beaten path" places I love to find. We are from Canada and I found this place on Expedia. You will not be disappointed. It's fabulous.

Huge room and bath, but on 3rd floor with no lift. Was very hot. Outdoor seating nice. Had a nice dinner at restaurant, but continental breakfast buffet is sadly lacking. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating.

Lovely Hotel in Romsey Town Centre

The White Horse Hotel in Romsey never fails to disappoint. Beautiful old building, lovely clean rooms, and a superb position, right in the centre of town. Keep an eye on the bar prices though!

Wedding weekend

Great stay in Romsey for a wedding at this venue. Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb location in the centre of Romsey. No parking on site but plenty of parking in the town at a reasonable price.

Mini break with friends

Reception staff and waitress at breakfast were excellent. Great breakfast, room clean and good value for money. Great location. Down side, no rose wine (had run out) and came back for nightcap and coffee (before 10pm) but told no coffee available as machine switched off. Would have expected these things to be available on a Saturday night. Nevertheless would recommend and would go back.
