Lobby smells of curry. Building not well maintained. Carpets worn out and need to be replaced. Card key for door lock is hit and miss needs to be repaired. Just a cheap worn out hotel that the owners aren't taking care of. It's just sad. This was once the finest hotel in town. Now it's just another worn our poorly maintained hotel.

The lobby wreaks of the smell of curry. The building is run down, and not well maintained. This was once the finest hotel in Roswell, and now it's no better than a place for a one night stand.

The breakfast was a fairly typical hotel breakfast. They had eggs, sausage, waffles plus some other prepackaged items. Our biggest concern was the smell! We went and bought Frebreeze and managed to bear it. The hallway carpets were dirty and there was no one there cleaning so I assume that was status quo. There was a sign “Pool closed” on the only pool. I couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is a high two star, low three star hotel. The common areas was firty and poorly maintained. The room was large and cleanbut not well maintained.

Property was quiet and clean. Breakfast was great with a waffle maker eggs sausage juices and more. The staff was awesome especially Raya. She was a great help. I will stay there again if she is still there in the future. Only negative issue was that the hot tub was not working though I tried to help them as I am a licensed pool and spa operator. The hot tub is a major amenity for any hotel. Its too bad it wasn't working and that was part of the reason I picked that hotel bur Raya's professionalism made up for it

Pool says out of service until further notice and that’s one of the reasons we chose to stay here. Shower in our room has mold on the walls. Trash cans on outside of building by doors look old and broken

Hotel felt dirty. The first room we were assigned had not been cleaned. The second room smelled like old smoke and the windows did not open. The pool and hot tub were broken the entire time we were there. Not a great experience.

September 18, 2025 The following is a complaint of the condition at the Clarion Inn & Suites located at 2000 N Main St. Roswell, N.M. 88201 from September 11 to September 14, 2025 Reservation confirmation 31242486 Expedia Itinerary 7302620634745, Rm117. I checked out 10 am MT on September 14, 2025, due to the condition of the room. At 78 years of age, I have traveled extensively roomed at several hotels in the U.S. and had never been so very disgusted, disappointment and uncomfortable as at this hotel. The itemized conditions were experienced. 1. TV remote control was intermittent with function. After some time, I opened the battery compartment only to find the springs holding the batteries in place were worn to the point any hand movement would dislodge one of the two batteries. Resulting in both hands were needed to operate the remote. Maintenance person replace. 2. Room thermostat was set at 76 degrees no changes could be made to the temperature or on vs. off switch Never felt an air flow from the vent. 3. Bathroom sink without a stopper, risk of small objects (I.e., medication, jewelry etc.) falling into the trap making recovery impossible w/o removal of the pluming neck. 4. Bathroom exhaust fan inoperative. An overabundance of steam and unusual odors are present. 5. ¾ roll to toilet paper in holder no extra rolls present. 6. Telephone did not work, informed maintenance no action taken. Required walk to front desk for needs. Wake up calls not available. 7. Front de

Choose A Different Hotel

Saying that The Clarion was past its prime is generous. We couldn’t get into our room because the battery in the lock was dead, so they gave us a different room. The new room had a missing toilet paper holder bar, the room chair was missing its cushion, one of the lamps did not work because both of its bulbs were missing (2 other light fixtures were also missing a bulb), the refrigerator was missing, the exercise room consisted of a weight machine and a broken-down chair. The hotel was generally run down. We had a reservation for another day but cancelled and stayed at another hotel.

Room was OK, but the property was run down and poorly maintained. Examples include a broken window and missing spa timer in the pool room. The breakfast items were basic and poorly prepared (eggs, gravy, juices). Was there for the air races. We booked early and paid just over $100/night. They were advertising rooms at $350/night once they go wind of the event. What a rip off!
