Facilities going through renovation resulting in intermittent construction noise and parking is limited due to EV charging station installations. Asked for one night stay reservation cancellation due to COVID. Hotel.com staff also reached out for the courtesy cancellation but got no reply until the third day. They finally replied with a refusal. Hotel.com staff pushed for flexibility and was also disappointed by their refusal. The other hotel we booked graciously refunded a 3 night stay for the same reason, same Marriot parent company. Will definitely avoid this Elk Grove Fairfield in the future.

The hotel says that it's pet friendly but when we checked in and went to the room we were told that they did not take dogs then the front desk clerk blamed me for not seeing the big sign by the desk. They need to update their listing saying that they do not take dogs and then instruct their front desk not to have an attitude with their guests.

Rooms were clean and nice, however, the interior does need to be remodeled. Breakfast was great and staff was excellent. I would book another stay there if in the area.

Solo female in the area needed a room for the night. The room itself felt very comfortable, clean and safe. Some of the common spaces like the hallways and elevators felt dated.. but the room itself was updated, clean and very comfortable. I can't speak to the pool and gym as I did not use them. The breakfast was a good mix between hot food and cold food. I'd love to stay again in the future.
