Fantastic Holiday Home & Super Host

This house is located in the centre of the Briere national park and very close to towns and villages. Restaurants in the area are superb. We would highly recommend 5*****. The host Cecile is very friendly and great to make suggestions for trips

Fantastisches Ferienhaus

Das Ferienhaus ist fantastisch und wurde den durch die Beschreibung und die Bilder geweckten hohen Erwartungen gerecht. Das Grundstück und der große Pool waren sehr gepflegt. Die Sauberkeit des Hauses war absolut top; insbesondere die Schlafzimmer sind toll eingerichtet.Cécile war eine äußerst angenehme Gastgeberin, die immer auch gute Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung parat hatte.

This delightful historic cottage has been skilfully converted. Charmingly quirky it is very well appointed. Cecile is an excellent host, on hand but discreet. As well as this the real highlight for us was Breca and the surrounding area.

Merveilleux

Un séjour merveilleux dans une maison superbe, parfaitement pensée pour le repos et la détente. Le cadre est idyllique : verdure, chant des oiseaux, piscine, jacuzzi… tout est réuni pour se ressourcer pleinement.La maison est très agréable, bien décorée et très bien équipée, autant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Tout est conforme à la description, voire mieux encore.Mention spéciale pour l’hôte Cécile, particulièrement accueillante, discrète et bienveillante, malgré la proximité de sa maison. Une belle adresse à recommander les yeux fermés ! Nous reviendrons vous voir c’est certain.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis au cœur de la Brière dans cette belle chaumière rénovée avec goût. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et conseillés sur les activités de la région par Cécile. Le plus à cette saison : pouvoir profiter du confort et de la chaleur d’un bon feu de cheminée.

Oase als Ferienhaus

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Ceciles Anwesen sehr genossen. Sehr großzügig, äußerst geschmackvoll angelegt. Haus und Garten genial. Pool und Jaccusi. Cecile hat sich rührig um uns gekümmert (Signal "Bremsscheiben wechseln" tauchte plötzlich auf und Cecile setzte sich sofort mit entspr. Werkstatt in Verbindung). Auch zahlreiche Tipps für Unternehmungen, sehr herzliche Atmosphäre. Lage des Ferienhauses war etwas unpräzise vom "Fewo direkt" angegeben, keine direkte Adressen-Nennung. Ansonsten alles tip top.

De presentatie en de foto’s waren veelbelovend maar wat we ter plaatse aantroffen was zelfs nog beter Prachtig huis en dito tuin met zwembad en jacuzzi en met verschillende leuke plekjes om boek te lezen of weg te dromen . Un moment de quiétude dans un environnement magnifique!

Que dire de la Brière et de la chaumière où nous logions? Top. Un retour à la nature, et nous avons été très bien accueillis par notre hôte Cécile, toujours disponible si besoin. Le logement est irréprochable, et vraiment conforme à l'annonce. Nous avons passé un grand week-end vraiment sympa dans cet environnement tellement singulier. Les paysages d'exception ne sont pas forcément au bout du monde.....

Beautiful Bones that lacked detail

We have been to France renting properties for 20 years and this charming setting was the most expensive to date. Unfortunately we do not feel the money was well spent. The exterior of the property was beautiful and well maintained but the pool was not heated to the level we have become accustomed. The interior left much to be desired. The kitchen was cramped and poorly designed and without a can opener, sicissors, clock, vegetable peeler and not a knife sharp enough to cut bread The inside was beautiful to look at but not functional. The beds look pretty but the cushions look wonderful but were not sleepable pillows. Towels were colour matched to the shower but inexpensive. There were no waste baskets in the bathroom areas in the bedrooms. France and fresh bread go together and unfortunately there was no close source of bread which required a drive to the next town to obtain, which was not always convenient. There are any number of beautiful properties in France and our host is competing with them As compared with other fantastic properties we have stayed at over the years we would rate this beautiful property at 3.7 out of 5 mainly do to the lack of attention to details, like warning to be cautious of beams slanting from the bedroom ceilings, etc. in the house and the low temperature of the pool. We all felt that the property was being run on the "Cheap". This also was the impression of our guests who are also experienced travelers. We would not return to this property.

Ein rundum schöner Urlaub | A very nice place

Wir haben zwei wundervolle entspannende Wochen verbracht. Alles war genau wie in der Beschreibung - und die Gastgeberin super nett. Die Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung waren sehr inspirierend, toll auch die vielen Märkte und die so unterschiedlichen Strände. Rundum perfekt für alle Naturliebhaber.

Un grand merci à Cécile pour son accueil soigné, ses conseils avisés et son beau gîte, confortable chaumière individuelle de grande qualité, très calme et idéalement située en bord de Brière et à moins de 30mn de tous les points de visite de la région. Havre de paix

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans la chaumière de Cécile. Cécile est une femme charmante qui est à votre écoute et en même temps très discrète. Elle est vraiment au petit soin et rien ne manque. Le logement est d'une propreté rare. Ce gîte est dans un environnement exceptionnel. Merci Cécile !

Peaceful Paradise!

Cecille’s cottage is just beautiful- the house has been decorated with great taste, the bedrooms are large and airy and the showers are fabulous. The pool area and hot tub are spotless and Cecile is very discrete but always on hand if you have a problem are advice about the local area. Having a sandwich bar and restaurant pretty much on the doorstep is really handy as the house and village is quite remote. The marsh barge trip is really interesting and the sound of horses clip-clopping past during the day taking tourists around the traditional thatched village in carts is lovely. The only negative we found was that there is no ice-box in the fridge so unable to buy frozen items or make ice cubes. We wish we could have stayed for longer though!
