Great Apartment but Difficult Check In
To start, the apartment is very nice and well appointed. Check in was difficult. There was no information provided ahead of time other than an address to meet the "concierge". She provided no information other than an address to the unit and parking. A little advice and info could have saved us an unmeasurable amount of stress trying to navigate a car inside the walls of St Malo. The upcharge to have towels and bed linens seemed petty, and it was. Each of us received 1 cheap scratchy bath and hand towel. The hot water tank was not working upon arrival and took 4 days to fix. There were numerous intrusions, exasperating conversations and time taken away from our vacation to address the problem. On our 3rd day, a second professional confirmed the hot water tank failure (at 8am) and the owners scheduled the replacement for the next day. On our 4th day the replacement began at 8am, and by that evening we had hot water. The owners did offer us a 250-euro refund for 4 days of inconvenience and intrusion. Ultimately the apartment is great and amazingly located. However, if you have any problems the owners are cheap, arrogant and put their financial concerns above the comfort of the guest.
