Salbertrand is a lovely, peaceful village in the Susa Valley. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside with many historic sights close by, as well as the Gran Bosco Natural Park. In the winter months, visitors can enjoy multiple skiing and snowboarding options in the nearby resort of Sauze d’Oulx (20 minutes), which is part of the famous Via Lattea network of slopes. In the summer, there are numerous hiking trails through the alpine meadows and mountains, as well as great mountain biking routes.
There is a restaurant and grocery shop in the village but for a wider range, Oulx is only a 7-minute drive. Here you will find restaurants to suit all budgets and larger grocery stores. Every Wednesday morning the town hosts a market in Piazza Garambois. This is the best place to source local cheeses and other fresh dairy products as well as the best vegetable and regional specialities.
Turin airport is just over an hour from the apartment. If you are arriving by train, then Salbertrand railway station is a 7-minute walk.
