We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk last week for was what supposed to be 2 nights. However, upon checking into our room, we noticed an overwhelming smell of pet urine in the living area. I called the front desk and they did send someone up to shampoo the carpet while we were out eating. The shampoo helped initially but once it wore off, the smell came back and made us avoid the living area all together. I asked to move rooms but was told there were no open rooms to move to. The hotel did offer to shampoo the carpet again but rather than continue to deal with the smell, we chose to leave and book a room for one night at a hotel nearby. The front desk was nice and did try to help but overall, that urine smell was unbearable and we were told were not eligible for a refund or room switch. Just a warning to anyone who stays here that since it's pet friendly, beware of soaked in pet urine smell.

there was a Kitchen that we didn't use. One thing I liked was that there were two separate rooms and bathrooms, which gave each person privacy. Breakfast had basic food, but we had to stand in line for a very long time because there was a crowd, and the food would run out very quickly. And there was valet parking.
