I liked the walkability to the river walk . What I didn’t like is the parking situation. Had to walk to hotel with all our luggage . It was not convenient.

I cannot say enough good things about the Maverick. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the hotel itself was so cozy and inviting. I cannot wait for them to get the downstairs finished. We will definitely be back.

Great location, close to everything including a bus stop, which I used to get back to the airport. Staff was very nice, helpful and almost always at the check-in desk. Room was very nice, but no view. Kitchen was minimally equipped but very modern, like new. Hot water was controlled, limit on its temperature. Shower was weak, low flow. Microwave oven was hard to reach - mounted too high, over the refrigerator.

Room was not properly cleaned upon arrival but our room was also ready early so we just wanted to be thankful for that. The bathroom looked like only the towels were refreshed, the sink and shower seemed to still have ‘debris’ in it. The room is extremely small but had most essentials needed. Our window faced a brick wall with very little natural light and the outside noise was very loud but internal building noise was quiet. It felt like a safe secure building. $10parking was available about a block away which was great, it was very walkable to the river and Alamo.

I asked for more towels since we had more people, it never came until the next day. There was no heat in the apartment during our stay, family had to sleep in hoodies. They offered to move us to another room on last night, but it would be a huge pain packing and unpacking so we stayed. Asked for a discount and they gave pet deposit back, that was insulting. No heat when the weather was in the 40s and 50s!!

The place needs an update. The window frames are old and the cold gets inside pretty easy. At nights is really noise. The towels look old and the paper toilet is the cheapest you can get. For almost $400 is expensive.

Staff was friendly but they didn't explain the parking was sourced out. The valet took the key home. It was for the box where all the keys were left at the hotel. We missed our outing and they said they'd reimburse us the 117. Plus we paid but we only got a portion.

Call it an apartment instead of hotel.

A nice hotel but no maid service. Coffee service for just one day although we stayed longer. The brand new TV had no service or reception. We couldn’t even use our own streaming. The front desk couldn’t help. The shower has just one lever for pressure and heat. So if you don’t want scalding hot water, you have to turn it down and then there is no pressure. The unit was lovely otherwise.

the location was great. Easy access to the Riverwalk and downtown. Access to the property was secure. Very clean. Only problem I had was a good working remote (for the tv) and the mirror ligting in the bathroom was a bit dim.
