While the location itself is close to historic sites such as the riverwalk and the Alamo, the immediate surrounding areas are a bit unsafe (especially at night). I was warned not to leave my car parked under the bridge when the sun goes down, though that’s the cheapest parking nearby. The pictures online make it look much nicer than it seems! Additionally, some of the staff were a bit standoffish during my stay. Someone even knocked on my door at 11:30am and ENTERED while I was in the room, though check out time was 12pm. Perhaps the worst part of my stay was discovering a live cockroach near my bed when I woke up! I typically don’t write reviews unless I feel others should know, so definitely proceed with caution when booking here. It’s cheap and close to tourist attractions, but you definitely get what you pay for!

Dirty rooms

The hotel is nicely remodeled but housekeeping was lacking. The bathroom was not clean at all. There was hair in the shower, the floors and in the beds. We attempted to clean the room ourselves but it was just too much. They moved us to another room and that was no better. They either need new housekeeping staff or they need to be retrained. Just horrible

Nice modern interior design, rooms are good. Great breakfast. Only issue is parking. You have to park in pay parking lots that don't look safe for overnight parking and require you to cross busy streets.

Don't stay here

Normally Hilton hotels are excellent choices. This one is an exception. I got in Thursday and got an early check in. I was expecting to just drop off my bags and come back later, so kudos for that. That evening as I got ready for bed, I noticed that the faucet would not work properly, as you could not adjust the water temperature. It was hot water or nothing! The sink was very slow to drain. I told the front desk the next morning and she immediately told a maintenance person about the problem. He never bothered to fix it. To date, no manager has contacted me from this hotel to apologize for the inconvenience or to see what could be done to make me happy. Usually as a Hilton rewards member, they add points to my account. I don't recommend this hotel.
