The property has been upgraded. Easy check in and easy walk to Old Town San Diego. Friendly staff as well. The motel offers a lot of street parking and parking garage available.

Nice and Clean rooms. A bit noisy (when someone is walking outside the hallway due to flooring, or someone closing the door). They had a staff member making fresh waffles in the morning (for breakfast) is a nice touch

We were on a tight schedule upon arrival, so it was disappointing to learn that our room was not ready, especially since it was already past 3:00 PM, the standard check-in time. While we waited, we noticed that several other guests—at least five or six—were checked in and given rooms before us. I asked the front desk if any room was available, even if it wasn’t the exact type I booked, but was told I would need to wait for the specific room I reserved. Unfortunately, this led to a delay of over 30 minutes before I received my room. My brother-in-law, who arrived with us, waited even longer—about an hour and a half. This delay caused us to be late for an important event we were attending, which was incredibly frustrating.

There was not a large variety of breakfast it was mainly waffles everyday but other than that it was a great place to stay.

The room was spacious and nice. I like the counter space. Close to the bathroom, lots of room for the toiletries. Just not very efficient how appliances were placed or set up. Like the table is on the other end of the room far from the microwave and refrigerator.. The breakfast was also a joke. Breakfast was juat cereal, bread and coffee and the space to get breakfast was so small.

It's was okay but $18.00 for parking? The breakfast included only waffles, milk, coffee, some cereal and some bread, so to me this is continental breakfast only and it should be posted as a continental breakfast only. ☺️ The housekeeping lady was very nice, I can't remember her name but she was very helpful.

How does a 50 year old motel get this 5 star review? An efficient staff from check in to check out, good windows that minimize outside noise, clean faux wood floors, clean crisp white linens, comfortable bed, shower with nice hot water with good pressure from a premium shower head. That's how!!

Had to pay an extra $15 a night to park in the hotel parking lot, not a lot of parking on the side streets as I think other hotels in the area also charged customers to pay in their parking garages. The breakfast did not include any protein options, fresh fruit or yogurt.
