Nice hotel. Very small rooms but exceptionally well done for the reality of an old hotel. The elevator is slow but it is over. 100 years old. Fun to operate actually. There is serious “gaslamp district” noise at the front of the hotel.

The room was mainly great, only problem was the bathroom, a little tiny and the toilet is in such a little space you have the squeeze to use it. But the poeple was nice , staff helped us out when we didnt know how to get to the stairs.

This hotel is over 100 years old, full of vintage character and style. The first room we got had no outside-facing windows—just one that opened to the inner courtyard garden. The hotel also has an old-fashioned elevator, beautiful but tricky to use. Our room looked stylish, but the AC was so loud that by 11pm we thought we wouldn’t be able to sleep at all. We called the front desk, and the staff were very helpful—they ended up upgrading us to a 1-Bedroom Suite. That room was perfect: quiet, cool, and comfortable, and we finally got a good night’s sleep. In the morning, they even offered us a free cup of coffee each (though we came as two guests, so we had to share one! Overall, the hotel definitely has its quirks, but also plenty of charm and great service.

stayed here for two nights and loved it! super cutely decorated and felt so cozy. being able to just text the staff things that we needed was a bonus since it made it so accessible. will stay again next time we're in the Gaslamp district :)

The rooms were really outdated and I had a huge issue immediately upon arriving regarding the shower leaking into the entire bathroom and causing a huge puddle of mess. Parking option was also only valet that cost £65 a day, so your other option is to find street parking and carry your luggage across the city.

This hotel is super cute, and has done a really good job of preserving its old timey features (elevator, signage). The room is small but for a few days and a couple of carryons it was quite comfortable. The rooms are decorated very nicely too, and I liked that the sink was outside of the bathroom in our room. The rooftop is super pretty and has great views

Cute but not particularly comfortable

This hotel looks cute and there are nice little touches but overall it annoyed me. The rooms are so tiny, there is no place to put your suitcase and the sink is next to the bed. Also the shower is 2x2 feet and you get blasted in the head with water constantly. Built in the 1920’s I get the rooms are small but they don’t feel luxurious in anyway. The ac made horribly loud clicking noises that woke me up. But the worst part was the horrible elevator that you need 4 hands to use. You are forced to hold a heavy door open with one hand, while opening another sliding cage door, all while moving all your luggage without any attendant to assist. It’s awful. They need to get rid of the historic elevator and put a functioning one in asap. Otherwise decor is fun, it’s pretty cheap/good location, and room was ready before check in.

The property has a privileged location in Gaslamp Quarters. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was lovely and quaint. We did not like the elevators as they are completely impractical and small and that the AC was extremely loud in our room. The room and bathroom were very small, but beautifully decorated. We have mixed feelings about the property but definitely see value in the location and how unique is the stay experience. The staff was very friendly too. We were not fond of the parking situation, but they have valet service.
