The property was conveniently located however there are a lot of unhoused people right outside the building and unfortunately, it felt very, very unsafe. I shouldn’t feel that I need to shuffle my family into the car to prevent anyone from approaching us.

I was impressed by the size of the room and the service I received from the staff. The valet parking was unavailable though and that was one thing I didn't like.

This hotel is located a few blocks away from “Little Italy”, where the night stays young! Although, like any big city with a beautiful downtown, you have your fair share of cultural differences that may or may not allow you to feel comfortable. San Diego des have a sense of kindness overall. For those who are not locals an come visit downtown for the first time, be ready to spend a little more to continue the investment while

Great location and walkable to lots of spots, which made our stay easy and enjoyable. The gym was better than expected — clean and had everything we needed. A couple of drawbacks: the shower could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly (we ended up using shower shoes), and there was quite a bit of street noise at night. That said, we sleep through anything, so it didn’t bother us. We’d stay here again, but next time we’ll ask for a room with a better-maintained bathroom.

The front office was not friendly. I will say the young woman that checked me in was helpful and did assist me with my request for a room with a view. The room was nicely designed and the view was nice. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if it wasn’t for the bathroom. The bathroom had mildew and what looked like blk mold in shower grout. It was upsetting to deal with a dirty shower. I asked for a new room, the one that was offered was just as bad and had no view. We showered with our sandals on because the floor grout was so dirty. Management needs to address these issues. I asked for a manager and was told I would have to contact Expedia.
