We only stayed 1 night after a late flight arriving at 11pm. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was nice. The reason I gave it the rating I did is we were woke up by pp in the room next to us screaming about being shot in the head and bleeding. After listening to this screaming and yelling and cursing I gathered that someone had been shot with a toy gun and was bleeding. This went on for several minutes. My 5 and 9 year old kids were petrified. After telling front desk staff about this issue she had nothing to offer me except an apology. I wanted a refund or discount on my 1 night stay as my first night in Costa Rica we didn’t get much sleep and we scared for our safety.

The Fairfield is a clean, efficient, modern hotel close to San Jose airport. A free airport shuttle bus runs every half an hour. The staff are friendly and helpful with very good English. Excellent varied buffet breakfast with options for all.

The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The hotel was super clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent! The shuttle was convenient and ran consistently! We will definitely stay here again

The staff were very attentive and helpful. Shuttle service is great. I could walk from the hotel to a town (one mile) with loads of restaurants and other interesting shops. Little stores were about 4 blocks away. The beds were great. The shower weak. The place is very clean and well taken care of. The breakfast (included) is great on Sunday and decent on other days (better than any in the States). Staff is wonderful.
