We had a mediocre experience at this establishment, which is inaccurately marketed as a resort. The property was overrun with local families and their noisy children, creating a chaotic atmosphere. Upon arriving at 8 p.m., we faced an hour-long wait for food at the only operational restaurant, as no other dining options or bars were open on the premises. This hardly qualifies as resort-level service.
We stayed for four nights and five days, during which our room was cleaned only once, and fresh towels were provided just once. While the facilities were relatively clean, the property appeared worn and outdated. On the positive side, the happy hour was enjoyable, and the breakfast offerings were satisfactory.
The grounds were overcrowded with children, making it impossible to relax in the hot tub. The beach, while decent, was rocky and far from the pristine white sand depicted in the website’s images. The location is a 38-minute drive from the airport, but due to heavy traffic, the journey took 93 minutes. Driving in Puerto Rico is an adventure in itself—imagine Boston’s aggressive traffic without stoplights.
The so-called “resort” offered little in terms of activities, with only a billiards room and go-karting available. The casino was disappointing; we planned to play blackjack on Friday night, only to find it closed by 8 p.m. Unless your sole intention is to lounge by the pool or beach, I strongly recommend choosing a different destination. Will NOT be returning.
