Old San Juan was the first leg of our Puerto Rico family vacation. The Rumbao Hotel was perfectly situated, allowing easy access to the historic location and all its amenities. The rooms were comfortable and served their purpose. We were given lunch coupons—a definite bonus! We were surprised that the food/drink services in the hotel shut down SUPER EARLY. So, make sure if you’re out in the town past 10 pm—get something to eat or drink before heading back to the hotel. They gave us late check out but the room key was deactivated at the regular check-out time—that caused some friction when returning to retrieve our luggage from the room after shopping. Finally, the hotel has parking but it’s not in the hotel—it’s actually away from the location in a public parking lot—that was also somewhat stressful. Finally, be aware that when you arrive there is no place to unload your baggage or immediately check-in. You have to “cheat” and leave the car where the valet is and make sure you drop them off quick or you will get honked & yelled out quickly. All this to say—it was a good stay.

Came on a solo trip stayed 1 night for my cruise. All of the employees were so hospitable. I left to sightsee and came back to my room to find a slice of cake with a birthday card and decor. That was sweet of them and so unexpected. Thank you so much. Highly, recommend will stay here again and again after this first stay. It meant a lot for them to do that, especially being here alone. We really liked this hotel! We came with our 8 month old baby and booked a suite. The room was big and it was nice to be able to have the baby nap in the bedroom and not have to tiptoe around him. The woman at the front desk had a crib sent up to our room which made it even easier. My only wish would’ve been a tub to make bathing the baby easier and a sink outside of the bathroom for washing bottles. Other than that it was really easy and accommodating! We really enjoyed our stay! The $35 for meals was also a pleasant surprise!

From the moment I arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing me to check in early, which made my arrival all the more pleasant. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised to receive food and complimentary drink vouchers—what a delightful welcome! This thoughtful gesture set the tone for a wonderful stay. As if that wasn’t enough, the hotel surprised me with a free drink to celebrate my birthday. It truly made my day special and showcased their commitment to outstanding hospitality. The atmosphere at Hotel Rumbao is warm and inviting, making it the perfect getaway. It’s located walking distance from many stores and the cruise ship docks directly across from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Puerto Rico. I can't wait to return!

Perfect walking location in San Juan Puerto Rico. We were close to all of the shops and restaurants. We felt very safe being 2 younger women traveling together. The hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly

During our stay, there was a lot of remodeling construction going on although it was not in our way at all you could hear it at times. There's no better location for the cruise ships.
