Love the decor. Stylish and warm. Could feel thought and love put into all the elements available. So many birds singing around the property, smells of spring with pots of Jasmin along the balcony walkway, beautiful flowers punctuate the landscape. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot, coffee delicious and warm fire in the lobby to greet guests. And great lighting in the rooms was very appreciated!

Although the facilities are old, it is a simple, clean, elegant place where people are very friendly and genuine. Free coffee and pixie oranges are very tasty. The hair and body wash products are nice. Air conditioning is a bit too noisy. But the environment is neat, walkable to nice restaurants and downtown.

This hotel had a beautiful, minimalist vibe to it. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was quiet and very clean with VERY comfy beds and plenty of space to settle in. We utilized the pool area and outdoor fire pit, both of which were well attended to. We didn’t get a chance to use the bikes, but it seemed there were plenty available and it would be an easy ride to restaurants and shops. The only reasons that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 were that there wasn’t any food on premises, with the exception of high-end market snacks, and it’s not quite as family friendly as I hoped. The hotel is a great space for well-behaved kids, but the clientele will send a few glares your way at the pool and there were no options for including kids on the bikes. Overall, would highly recommend as a quiet retreat spot.

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel over the weekend, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! From the moment I checked in, the process was seamless and easy, setting the tone for a relaxing stay. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with an inviting atmosphere that really adds to its charm. The room was spotless, and I appreciated how well-kept everything was, from the common areas to my personal space. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. One of the highlights was the hotel’s proximity to downtown, which made exploring the area so convenient. I only wish I had more time to enjoy the private patio and the pool, both of which looked absolutely lovely and inviting. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and charming place to stay.

Nice Little Visit!

I enjoyed my stay! I came in late after a long drive from Santa Barbara and they had my room key waiting for me. I never did actually meet any staff from the hotel, which is unusual but not necessary. Close to everything, affordable, and clean. I would stay here again for sure.

Loved our stay, this place is so great and the staff is so nice and friendly. The only negative part is how thin the walls and windows are, if you are a light sleeper take some earplugs, you will need them.

Really Cozy Hotel

This was one of the cutest hotels my wife and I have stayed at in a long time. It is close to everything in Ojai, and the staff is extremely personable, friendly, and welcoming! Looking forward to staying at the Hummingbird Inn again!

Colorado family of 3 vacation

We spent one night at the Hummingbird on Jan 8, 2025. Unfortunately, the power was out in part of the town of Ojai, and this included the Hummingbird Inn. The hotel staff had no control over this, but made the best of a bad situation. We were given a flashlight, electric candles, and they had the firepit outside going as well as the indoor fireplace in the lobby. We brought our dinner in there and ate by firelight! In the morning, with the power still out, they picked up coffee from another hotel so that we could have our morning coffee. We appreciated the effort.that was made.

Four women met for a getaway weekend in Ojai. Our room was clean, we had the choice of daily cleaning service. The lounge had a fireplace and huge table, plus items for purchase with testers. Personally, I liked that it wasn't right in the middle of town, so it was quiet and, even though we had multiple cars, parking on the street was a piece of cake. We walked into town for dinner easily. We also enjoyed the firepit by the pool. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the pool, but loved that it was kept heated at 82 degrees. I loved the Hummingbird Inn and I will stay there again.
