Not great for solo female travelers

The hotel had good things & bad things. The room was charming, not your typical cookie-cutter room. It had a light ceiling with a sunlight, and a fireplace. They had a free breakfast every morning with a good selection, and the food seemed freshly made. My biggest concern, and why I won’t stay there again, was room security. The door to the room only locked via one deadbolt, no chain or other locks. And the door opened outwards, so a door jam could not be used nor could I place a chair in front of the door for extra security. As a solo female traveler, I want to have as many ways to secure my door as possible. Also, the door opened to an outdoor courtyard and the whole door had glass panes with only a thin shade to block out light. All the rooms in the courtyard have a porch light by the door, so at night, a ton of light comes through the door, even with the shade down. The photo shows what the room looked like from the bed at night, with all the room lights turned off. Also also, there was a spider in my bathtub one day; definitely not a fan of that.

This beautiful boutique hotel is amazing. Quaint, clean with upgraded interiors. Very Pueblo-Spanish authentic architecture and a close walk to the downtown square. The bed was extremely comfortable also. It is apparent they take great pride in this place.The hot breakfast was delicious!

Great location, great staff.

The room we had was on a street, but fortunately we did not here traffic. The staff was friendly and allowed us to do yoga in their larger office space. The location is great because it 8s only an 8 minute walk to the old Town.

What a wonderful property! The staff are professional, but not pushy! Special kudos to Alvin for his friendliness and knowledge of the area! The room was a nice size with a sunroom AND a private patio. I highly recommend the Galisteo! We can't wait to come back!

The only issue I had with the room was that you could see right through the side window and also, the plastic was peeling off the window in the shower so you could see right through there, too. I had to put up towels so you couldn’t see in. Location was perfect, the food was wonderful, and the staff were very friendly!

Cute adobe hotel, great sized room for a good price. Room seemed clean but leftovers in the fridge. Very friendly staff. Would stay again. I think I heard them talking about doing some upkeep. A couple of things should be done in the room I stayed inWeatherstripping around windows and doors. Burnt plug in bathroom and other plug very difficult to get a connection. So some older aspects. But again had a pleasant stay and I was in walking distance of what I wanted to see, restaurants, etc.
