Hotel staff were great Melina and Rey in particular. Restaurant is overrated and overpriced and service is very slow. Dogs and chickens are noisy all night. It's too far from town (about 25 km) The area is not busy and very safe, if you want to be away from the tourist crowd this is a good area.

The rooms were clean and well appointed. Easy walk to the beautiful Bocana beach. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the sunrise from the 3rd floor lounge area was beautiful. Nice to have a good restaurant in the hotel as well as some other local restaurants nearby. Servers could stand to be more attentive though. Food was fairly good, but not always consistent. No pool service was offered for food or beverage and you weren't supposed to bring your own. Pool was a bit cold, but okay. There weren't many chairs or umbrellas though and a few pool float rests would be a nice addition. The most difficult part of the stay is the noise from the birds and dogs which wakes you several times at night. They may supply earplugs, but you have to ask for them. They also don't restock the coffee pods in the room automatically.

Casa Bocana was a wonderful respite after a week in Mexico City. The whole hotel was beautiful and calm. Our bed was super comfortable- I haven’t slept that great in years. We loved the food in the restaurant! They went above and beyond for New Years Eve!! The concierge staff was helpful and kind. The wait staff could use some training when it came to seating guests. But other than that, they were great. Absolutely fine dining! The location of the hotel was perfect! It’s located in a neighborhood that has a masseuse, two or three restaurants l and the beach is a very short walk. We loved our stay at Casa Bocana!!

The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff were friendly from the room cleaning to the front desk. The pool was beautiful with lots of shade areas. The beach nearby was one of the most incredible we saw in the area. It’s primarily used for surfing and fishing, though we swam a lot near the rocks where the surf was calmer. However, it’s because it is next to a protected area near to the river outlet but it was teeming with wildlife. It was such incredible natural beauty!

Beautiful property. Only feedback is that the water pressure and shower drainage is not great. If you maximize the shower head there will be a ton of water overflow in your bathroom. Other than that, this place is amazing.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Bocana. The personnel, service, setting, and accommodations were excellent. Our primary goal for the trip was rest and relaxation and Casa Bocana fit the bill perfectly. The location of the hotel is a bit remote and requires the use of car or taxi to get around, but this is not a problem as you can access La Crucecita (plaza area) for food and shopping in 15 minutes. Waking to the sound of roosters was charming and we watching the sunrise from our balcony was spectacular. A special thank you to Jess, Melina, and Beto for their friendly and attentive service. We hope to return soon!

The room was very clean. I loved the decorations of the hotel very original the atmosphere was very pleasant and quite. The staff was very attentive, polite and helpful. Specially Melina she was very helpful and good to us. Overall I enjoyed my staying at this hotel. I really recommend it 10/10.
