Nestled along a quiet country road overlooking Sonoma Valley vineyards and mountain panoramas, this cottage is ideal for couples vacationing together. Enjoy spacious communal living areas and a private upstairs loft with a separate entrance. An hour from the Golden Gate Bridge and perched at the northern end of Sonoma Valley, your rental is within a 5-minute drive from Sonoma Highway's shops, restaurants, and bars. Drive 5 minutes to hit the trails at 4,000-acre Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, where you can discover a 25-foot, seasonal waterfall and hike Bald Mountain. Award-winning wineries are at your doorstep. St. Francis, Chateau St. Jean, Ledson, MacLeod, Kunde, Kenwood, Sunce, VJB, Bwise, Engarde, and Imagery Winery are all within a 10-minute drive. Valley of the Moon is 25 minutes away by car.

Head to the main house on the grounds, where there's a shared pool and another hot tub. Situated on expansive grounds with a separate main home, this cottage is laid with hardwood floors. A spacious, open-concept living area features a sofa and two leather chairs, a 40" TV (equipped with Apple TV and Blu-Ray), and a Sonos sound system. Kick back by the gas fireplace. A full-efficiency kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Grill steaks and enjoy them at the indoor dining table for everyone. After a day of wine tastings at nearby vineyards, sink into the queen bed. Upstairs, a loft with a separate entry sleeps two in a queen bed. Refresh in a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and skylight. The loft boasts comfortable seating: a love seat and an oversized chair for lounging in front of the TV or reading a book. A small kitchenette area offers a microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, and a mini-fridge. Unwind on the back deck, where you can take in the vineyard and mountain views from a bubbling private hot tub.

The homeowner lives on-site in the main house. The pool and second hot tub are shared amenities.

This cottage is located near working vineyards, so local noise can be heard in the early hours of the day. The cottage is also subject to construction noise from rebuilding in the distance based on its higher location.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice home. Perfect for two couples, although the listing implies that you will be together in same place, just on different floors with a common area...we were surprised to be in separate places. Location is difficult for wine tasting in Napa, so that was also frustrating. But, overall, a very nice house and good experience.

Prior to booking, I had seen the property listed for two different prices. I asked a question through VRBO. I did not get a response for 5 hours. I was running out of time to book so I booked the more expensive one. About a half hour after booking, I got a reply telling me that the more expensive one includes a separate room located over the garage. Oh well, I guess the two of us get a choice on where to sleep. Prior to arrival I got an email with a gate code and instructions on how to get into the cottage. They did not give me a code for the deadbolt. I called the number to the property manager. They were able to give me the code to the lock boxes that had a key in it. I don’t think I was supposed to have the key. The key was very difficult to use in the electronic deadbolt and we were unable to lock the door. I called twice and texted once. each time they said they would have the local contact reach out. That never occurred. Outside of those issues, the property was beautiful. The cottage sat on the edge of a hillside. What an amazing view. The cottage was clean and decently appointed. The main pool and spa were absolutely amazing. We had the entire property to ourselves. It was so peaceful and quiet. There were a ton of deer in the yard and plenty of wildlife around. The property backs up to a huge trail system. I took a morning run for 7 miles. This place was super convenient to the Kenwood area, but felt miles away. I would definitely stay here again.

Breathtaking views

It was an incredible property. Convenient to everything. We will definitely be staying there again. The only recommendation I would ask is to have the maintenance crew (leaf blower, lawn mower) come after 7am. That was truly annoying waking up to that. At least wait for the sun to come up. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

Peaceful stay in Sonoma

Lovely, clean, well-cared for Accomodations with beautiful view of sunset over hills. A little confused upon arrival as we did not understand two bedrooms were split between two buildings 200 feet apart. Great for adults traveling together looking for alone time; may not be for families. Wish we had extended our stay as our later accomodations in Healdsburg did not live up to this, tho be wary of driveway after dark or drinking!! Thanks for a perfectly lovely Covid-safe Sonoma getaway!

Amazing Wine Country Escape…Perfect for 2 Couples

We loved this spectacular property set in the mountains of wine country. Peaceful after a long day of wine tasting with all the amenities you need. Wonderful privacy with 2 separate units made it perfect for 2 couple traveling together. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing property

Beautiful property with a fantastic view. We were in town for Bottlerock and thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are so lovely...the cottage and loft are modern and well appointed. Relaxing by the pool after wine tasting in the area was fabulous! Look forward to a return visit soon!

Beautiful hilltop home

We had a wonderful long summer weekend on this property. The pool, hot tub and fire pit were spectacular! The view is amazing! Location is convenient to Glen Ellen and several trails, restaurants etc. we loved the wildlife, the trees and the lovely landscape. Everything about the cottage and the separate one bedroom unit where my 12 year old slept is well appointed and nicely furnished. Five stars!

Cozy and relaxing private getaway with breathtaking views.

We had the privilege to stay on the property in September, we were a group of four on vacation to tour the surrounding Sonoma and Napa on a wine adventure. The estate was lovely, the scenic overlook was immaculate to look out each morning and evening. It felt very private and secluded, which was wonderful to escape the noise and distraction of a big city. Although it was secluded, the amenities provided were far above all our wildest imaginations! There were three main parts of the property where we spent much of our down time, the loft (where my wife and I stayed), the cottage (where the other couple with us stayed) and the wonderful pool and infinity hot tub. Both the loft and cottage were very homey and cozy, the set up was wonderful and welcoming. One of the best features, which was very simple to use with the provided instructions, was the in home Wi-Fi and Sonos Sound System (all connected through the same Wi-Fi). It was easy to get some easy listening in the morning while getting ready or relax with some tunes or TV in the evening. Since we wanted to be able to cook for ourselves, the kitchen within the cottage provided what we needed to cook meals every night, a great way to save money! As referenced before, one of the places we spent a lot of our time was the hot tub, and for good reason. The infinity hot tub was situated by the deck area and overlooked the beautiful mountains and, far off in the distance, what appeared to be the city of Napa. This was our evening retreat every night after dinner, but we also made our way down to watch the sun rise one morning. There was only one evening when it wasn’t working correctly, but was a non-event because Joan was able to help us right away to get it up and working, which she always referenced was an option for anything that may have been amiss around the estate. Overall our stay far exceeded our wildest dreams, the setting was lovely, the views were stunning, and the provided help and guidance to use all the great extra amenities were miles above anywhere we have ever stayed before. It definitely earned a 5 Star rating from all of us and we would definitely recommend and hope to return someday for future vacations.

Amazing property, and even better host!

This is the perfect property for your wine country getaway! There are numerous wineries within 5 minutes nearby, just 20 minutes from Santa Rosa, and 45ish minutes from Napa! This was the perfect home base for our Sonoma/Napa wine and food weekend. The cottage and loft are both well appointed with everything very nicely furnished. Joni, the host, seemingly has thought of everything one may need while on the property. The cottage has amazing views from the private deck and even the loft above the garage was fantastic too. As mentioned in the listing, the loft doesn't have AC, but was never a problem as it is easy to get good ventilation and it cools way down at night. We happened to stay during a renovation to the outdoor pool and hot tub area, but even though it was under construction, it was delightful. This place is going to be simply STUNNING when construction is complete. The pool deck offers even better views than the cottage, and the infinity style hot tub is truly luxurious. The property is breathtaking in itself, but it was the host, Joni, who really stood out. She was so happy to help us with recommendations for the area and was super responsive to any need we had during our stay. In addition, she really made us feel special with welcome baskets tailored to the occasions we were celebrating! She and her family were not on the property during our stay, but our experience with her was so great, I actually left feeling disappointed we didn't get to meet our hosts to thank them in person. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely consider staying here again, and I cannot wait to see how the renovations turn out, because it appears that it is only going to get better!
