Description of the house in Emporio, Santorini
Quietly situated in a side street, the neighboring house is currently uninhabited.
The house has 4 bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for 8 people.
In the main house there are two bedrooms are accessible both from the living room. One is equipped with a double bed and a wardrobe. The superimposed other with two single beds (bunk bed or bunk bed) and also a wardrobe. Through this room through the bathroom with shower and toilet is available.
Another bedroom is located on the rooftop terrace. It is equipped with a sofa bed to a second bed can be placed. This bedroom has air conditioning. Shower and toilet can be found in the main house. The room has an ocean view.
The fourth bedroom is located right below the main house. There is a double bed, a small alcove, a table and chair and a wardrobe. Also this room is equipped with air conditioning. A bathroom (d. H. Shower, toilet, sink) is located right next to it, however, is not directly accessible.
The living room of the main house includes a kitchenette with two induction plates and a sink.
The kitchenette is equipped with pots, cooking utensils and crockery.
A second kitchen is available at departure for the fourth bedroom but pots and induction plates must be used by the kitchen of the main house. However, this can easily be transported to and fro.
All rooms are tiled and easy to clean.
Skip to the main house there is a courtyard that can be used as a terrace. There is also a large roof terrace with a pergola and sunscreen .. Another smaller terrace is found on the fourth bedroom on the right hand of the court, also with pergola.
It is possible to sleep under the stars on the roof terrace. Camp beds and mosquito nets are available. Very romantic in the summer.
The nearest bus stop is 5 - 10 min. Walk away.
Car is recommended but not essential.

The picturesque village of Emporeio was for us the ideal place to stay in Santorini and explore the island. The farmhouse and its surroundings are a small heaven, reminiscent of older times and a simpler way of life. We had a wonderful time here and recommend this place wholeheartedly! Just be prepared to walk for about five minutes to access the property from the closest parking lot. Many, many thanks to our hosts for their great hospitality!

Local Charm and Comfort

This VRBO is a traditional Santorini home in the middle of a local neighborhood. It has a rustic charm, situated on a rocky hillside. It’s clean, well maintained and was comfortable for our family of 6 which included 2 kids and 2 seniors. It does include a walk up a dirt path and does not have luxurious amenities, but that’s not what we signed up for. We enjoyed staying in a place that was comfortable and quaint, with more locals around than tourists. The best part of this property is the house manager Olga. Prior to even arriving in Greece, she checked in about our arrival date and time and the need for transport/a rental car. Upon arriving, she was waiting in a central location to help us navigate the local maze of streets to find our place. Throughout our stay she checked in and helped us make arrangements for tours and gave us great local recommendations. She even helped us transport our family/luggage to the airport because we had such an early flight when no taxis were available. This property and its management are the epitome of local hospitality and charm and we are grateful that we had this experience.

1er vacance à Santorin

Nous avons loué cette superbe petite maison caché qui se trouve à Emporio. C'est une maison très agréable et bien placée. La propriétaire est super gentille et agréable. Une procédure d'arrivée très simple avec la propriétaire qui vous montre tout même avec une arrivée tardive. Santorin est une îles super. Nous avons fait une visite en bateau de l'île volcania et nous avons visité les villes Oia, Kamari, Perissa, Fira, Pyrgos. Nous avons fait le musée Lost Atlantis qui nous apprend beaucoup sur la création de l'île de Santorin. Nous avons aussi visité le musée de la Tomate. Enfin brefs un super séjour. Nous repartons avec des souvenirs pleins la tête. Merci beaucoup à la propriétaire Olga.

Très bon séjour

Nous avins passé 4 jours agréables à Santorin avec nos 3 enfants (11, 16 et 17). Loger à Emporio permet d'être loin de la foule touristique en rentrant le soir, tout en étant près des plus belles plages. La maison permet que chacun puisse avoir son intimité. La seule chose un peu moins positive est la difficulté à rafraîchir la maison principale ( climatisation peu efficace et trop faible pour arriver jusqu'à la chambre).

Great holidays

It is the typical house in Santorini with everything you need for cooking. We had a problem with another acommodation we had booked before this, and the owner of this house helped us a lot. Also Olga who received us when we arrived, she was very nice and helpful.

Très bonne semaine à la Hidden House

Notre semaine a la Hidden House s'est très bien passée. Nous avons apprécié le calme, les nombreux extérieurs et l'aspect atypique de la maison. Emporio est très bien situé pour visiter l'île. La communication avachi et pendant le séjour a été très simple. Nous recommandons ce gîte.

Tipica casa greca in un paese magico

Come dal titolo è una tipica casa greca; una costruzione con più ambienti collocati a piani differenti . Pulita e con utensili in cucina sufficienti . Le uniche cose negative sono: il parcheggio, un po’ difficile da trovare se si torna un po’ tardi la sera (lo si trova ma un po’ distante) I fuochi un po’ scarsi per cucinare per 8 persone. Nel complesso comunque tutto positivo, la consiglio a chi piace la semplicità.

Situata in Emporio, la casa è stata trovata così come descritta dal proprietario. Perfetta in ogni suo dettaglio e riuscendo ad accontentare tutte le esigenze. Nonostante le difficoltà di posizionamento e strutturali (specificate anche dal proprietario), l'abitazione si è rivelata un vero affare, sia dal punto di vista economico, sia dal punto di vista logistico (si può tranquillamente girare tutta l'isola). Inoltre, il proprietario, è stato sin da subito molto disponibile e sincero nell'illustrarci i pro e i contro dell'abitazione e sempre reperibile per qualsiasi chiarimento. L'abitazione era molto pulita e accogliente. Consiglio vivamente questa abitazione sia per ragazzi che per famiglie.
