River Mill Loft

Come and enjoy the beauty and peace of the unique River Mill Lofts in the historic village of Saxapahaw. We are the lucky new owners of a beautifully up-fitted one-bedroom dwelling in the cotton mill, which was first built in the 1840s by Quaker settlers. We hope you'll love the people and village of Saxapahaw as much as we do. This is large enough to accommodate (4) people comfortably with 1 main queen bed and 2 queen sofa sleepers. This unit also has some very interesting amenities, like a Bidet in the main bathroom, an elaborate entertainment system sound bar and subwoofer, am Alexa that knows all, and we also have most all of the major stations, including premium YouTube, HBO Max, Netflix, prime, Showtime, Cinemax, Pandora and most of the other icons like Spotify and Hulu. Also, I was a photographer for almost 30 years (in Raleigh) and most of the lights in the condo are on dimmers, so at night you can create some interesting lowlight situations. Rivermill Loft things to know:
"Service animals" that are hypo-allergenic and smaller than 15 lbs. are OK, I have an allergy to most dogs, i.e, German Shepherds, Retreivers, Labs, so those types of dogs are not allowed in our properties.
-Our router is called Tom and Colette and the password is Rivermill1. We have 2 parking spaces, 26 and 48. People here are a little particular about folks parking in the wrong spots.
-There are many things to do while you’re here, concerts at the Haw River Ballroom, dinner at the Eddy, breakfast and lunches at the general store, canoeing and kayaking down by the Hall River, trails to walk on, we also have a bike shop, butcher shop and some gift shops up near the general store.
-To use the entertainment center, grab the Samsung remote and push the home button, this will access all of the streaming stations and apps. If you want to watch regular TV, tap on the the Spectrum hub and then you can use the black spectrum remote and surf the guide. You can also stop start and record by tapping the DVR. You can also access all the streaming channels on spectrum by googling. Showtime is 550, and you can look up all the others. We have a Sony 360 sound system with a subwoofer but we’ve found that sometimes it does not become activated. If you don’t see the TV light on the sound bar itself, turn on the sound-bar from the soundbar itself.
- Please be aware the sounds Carrie’s in these condos quite easily so if you’re using the sound system, please be considerate of our neighbors.
- There is food and condiments here for your taking. We live here part time so we have some of our personal food here.
-This is our 5th Airbnb that we’ve run over these last (9) years and we’ve never asked our guests to do a thing but this situation is different because were an hour away and it’s becoming a little difficult to manage so we ask that our guests do these two things for us.
1. Strip the beds and throw the sheets and the towels in the washing machine on medium.
2. Bundle up the trash and stick it by the front door for our cleaners to take out.
