Boat trips to the Farne Islands run from Seahouses harbour - the islands are famous for their nesting seabird and grey seal colonies and visiting the islands by boat is a fantastic wildlife experience.

Bamburgh with its magnificent castle is a gentle 2 mile walk directly along the beach and energetic walkers can continue to Budle Bay, famous for migrating birds. Holy Island is a short drive away, or can also be reached by boat trips from Seahouses harbour depending on the weather and tides. Horse riding is available 1 mile away and there’s an impressive 18 hole golf course on the links close by. Just a few miles inland is the bustling town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle and home to Alnwick Gardens.
