Beautiful location, great food :) Shirty gardener!

Pros: Great location, food, v comfortable room with good facilities.
Cons: Attitude of grounds staff as explained above! Price is on high side for this kind of hotel.
Location: Beautiful village near big pebble beach and cliff top walks covered in unique wildlife.
Beautiful old pub hotel in gorgeous village of Branscombe, just a short walk to the pebble beach and cliff top paths :) Hotel staff friendly, room and food great though rather expensive. All let down by a member of maintenance staff who insisted on watering plants etc while I was clearly loading bags into boot of car underneath. When I asked him to pause mentioning I'd also had the hose pipe pulled up back of my legs during this he asked sarcastically "had I been damaged?" Hardly the point. I asked him why he'd ask that and that it was clearly provocative. He continued on regardless, saying he didn't have time to stop. The hotel needs to ensure all it's staff, not just friendly pub staff, understand customer service?
