Witt's End

Get the privacy you deserve in this freshly renovated and beautifully furnished cabin. It's sitting on just over an acre towards the top of the mountain, offering a breathtaking view. Has a relaxing hot tub both inside and out! Ideal for a romantic couples getaway, but will accommodate children as well. Brand new driveway recently laid down, so no more fighting gravel or potholes! There will be a one time $60 fee for any furry friends but it is pet friendly!

The space
Witt's End sits just over 20 minutes away from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Nestled up in the mountains. Trees cover most sides of the cabin giving you privacy from neighbors. They open up right where the rocking chairs are looking and the view is incredible. Close enough to anything you would want to do, but just far enough to get away from all the noise. Property includes large flat-screen TV with a LG premium sound system. A cell tower is .8 miles away, most phones get full service and data. Wifi available as well.

Other things to note
Please cover any trash that is put outside with the lid. We have a little house manual that's only one page long with instructions on the jacuzzi, sound system, and wifi. It's found on the coffee table next to the guest book as soon as you walk in.

First I want to say this property is beautiful. The mountain view is stunning. The host was quick to respond when I messaged and pleasant.Bed was firm but comfortable to my partner and I. Now on the other side the hot tub works but doesn't heat up. Huge bummer because that was the main reason we chose this cabin. Jacuzzi tub also works but unfortunately you run out of hot water before you can even turn on the jets. Also another huge bummer. Refrigerator door handle is broken. Shower door is broken but didn't seam to cause water to leak out. Dishes in dishwasher were still kinda dirty. The cabin was also dusty. This beautiful cabin could really use some tlc. I will add that we never informed the host of any of the problems mainly because according to past reviews it didn't resolve anything and it just wasn't worth the hassle for my 2 night stay.

Renter beware. I booked this spot primarily for the hot tub, which was broken during my stay. I communicated this to the host, along with several other issues (trash can was full, TV sound didn't work, dishwasher was taped shut). The host ignored every issue except for the hot tub, and told me they'd send someone out to fix it without communicating a clear timeline. When the maintenance person finally showed up several hours later, he was unable to fix the hot tub, and I had to cancel my plans to wait around for maintenance to show up. I told the host that this whole situation was unacceptable and that I expected a refund. The host agreed to a refund, and then refunded me less than 6% of my cost - what a joke.

The heat was not working the first night, was refunded for that night but it was like 18 degrees out and when I told them about it they brought wood for the fire place and one small space heater. Next night they ended up fixing the heater but the hot tub also did not work. It was never fixed. Inside the oven was nasty, cabin not the cleanest the floor in the shower bowed when you step on it and the shower door does not completely close.

The host was very attentive. We had a small problem with the hot tub. The host sent a repair man but unfortunately it was not fixed. The cabin inside jetted tub very very nice.We loved the view and the closeness of local shops and restaurants.

This cabin is absolutely perfect for an intimate getaway. Everything we could need was there. Very clean and inviting. It’s off the beaten path so it was nice and quiet. The details in the listing are exactly what you experience. Will stay at Witt’s End again.

The host was very nice and the cabin seemed clean. Unfortunately, the lights under the sink weren't working, the hot tub was not usable, and there was another couple already occupying our cabin when we arrived. We were told they had the wrong dates and they left, but they had apparently been given the same door code as we had, so had access to the property. (We saw the door code on a piece of paper on the kitchen table, so that is why we believe it is used repeatedly.) Using the same door code repeatedly is a security issue that should be addressed.

A nice cabin. Out in the woods. The bed is rock hard tho. Host does a good job explaining where the cabin is. A little miscommunication with the check in process.
