Overview
Spiros Beach Villa is located in Vatalos / Fragocastello, Crete. This
detached vacation rental property offers air-conditioning, Free Wi-Fi
and sleeps up to 5 people with 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms. There is a
private pool (South-East Facing) with barbecue and Sea views. Walking
distance to the Beach and Restaurants.

The living room is air-conditioned and has a dining area, comfortable

to the pool terrace with Sea views.

Lovely clean and suprisingly spacious house with a really refreshing pool. Owned by the same man who owns the taverna which is two minutes away from your villa, next to the beach - great food, supportive staff. Lots of beautiful beaches nearby and this part of Crete is very rural and quiet.

perfect get away holiday, perfect recreation, great location for the ones who seek peace and freedom during holidays. It is really a place to return to. Beautiful view, all comforts. This place is for recreation, not for lot of action and party. The nearby beach is well maintained and offers a beautiful view of the Frangokastello fortress. Highly recommendable.

nicely located

overall, we were happy with this place. the taverna at the end of the drive (also owns the villas) was really great, and we went there most nights. very good food, friendly staff. the local area was very nice, with great coffee shops and very friendly, helpful people. The villa itself is a little tired, with the downstairs shower super difficult to use because the fixture couldn't hold the shower head in place, and a broken toilet seat upstairs (which was immediately fixed). But the A/C worked and the beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed it. you definitely need a car for this location, if that was something you were considering.

Lovely quiet spot with a beautiful local beach

Villa Spiros is one of three lovely villas around a 5 minute drive to Frangokastelo. The local beach is a beautiful, natural one with knarled trees under which you can shade from the sun. It’s a 5 minute stroll from the villa and a wonderful place to see the sunset. The swimming pool was clean and a perfect cooling off temperature. The villa is the closest to the mountains of the three and views of the mountains are fabulous. Sea views are also beautiful. The village of Frango Kastelo is spread out over a mile or so but well served with 3 supermarkets, bakeries, tavernas and beaches. The house was beautifully clean and we were left some wine and local treats. The air conditioning works well and we were kept cool at night which was lovely. We were 5 - so used the sofa bed in the lounge which is a wide single size sofa bed. Our stay was wonderful, and we would definitely recommend Spiros Villa, but there are a couple of things that would improve this lovely house - Unfortunately, the mattresses are a little dated now and sadly not the most comfortable. Perhaps some good mattress toppers would be enough to alleviate the problem for the time being? The only table outside is a small coffee table. The patio and garden is quite large and there’s plenty of space to eat outside so it’s a shame there isn’t a take and chairs to use outside for eating. It would be great if local agents could pass these comments on to the owners for the benefit of other visitors. 😃 Thank you

Das Haus liegt einfach total günstig, wenn man gern etwas weg ist vom Trubel. Der Sandstrand ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, die Taverne Vatalos lädt ein, nicht nur einmal hier zu essen. Alles passt für einen Urlaub mit Wanderungen, einfach mal nur baden und sonnen oder Ausflüge.

Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sauber und liegt sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Am Strand ist sauber, ruhig, hauptsächlich Sand. Von dort aus kann man einige Schluchten auf kurzen Wegen gut erreichen. Man ist abgeschieden und dank der Taverne und des fußläufigen Supermarktes, "angenehme Preise", zur Versorgung nicht aufs Auto angewiesen.

It was a very nice place to stay. Nice, that we had both the sunrise and sunset. The house was perfect for 4 people, and the hosts were very kind and helpful to us. It was nice that we could easily get in contact, just walking to the restaurant, which they owned. Had a very nice week there. Will definitely recommend the place.

Idyllic and rural

We stayed at Spiro's for a week. It was lovely. I give 5 stars. A few more pantry staples would be nice and longer shower curtains, but that is nothing that deters from the seclusion and beauty of the property. Note that there are high winds in August and don't try to take floats to the beach! We witnessed many fly away to Africa🤣.

Gut mit kleinen Mängeln

Die Lage ist top, zwischen Bergen und Meer, kaum Tourismus. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Wie auch schon der Vormieter beschrieben hat, gibt es einige Dinge, die man verbessern kann, was aber scheinbar nicht passiert: Kaffeemaschine geht kaum (wahrscheinlich nie entkalkt), zum Teil sehr wenig Geschirr in der Küche (keine Schalen etc), Sofa ist durch, kein Papier, Stift, Kerze, Feuerzeug (hatten 3 stunden Stromausfall). Sachen im Notfallkoffer sind seit 6 Jahren abgelaufen. Uns hat es aber gut gefallen.

Im großen und ganzen in Ordnung.

Zur Info: Objekt wurde bereits das zweite mal gebucht! Stiegenaufgang knarrte und ächzte wie letztes mal. Neu: Kaffeemaschine defekt und es fehlten mehrere Küchenutensilien. Die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer oben links gehört unbedingt gewartet, läuft unregelmäßig und äußerst laut! Außenanlage: 50% der Rasenfläche komplett sonnenverbrannt, trotz Beregnungsanlage. Wahrscheinlich in diesen Bereich defekt! Kopf der Pooldusche total verrostet und beschädigt. Positives: Der Pool selber ist für sfakiotische Verhältnisse sehr gut, ebenso die Lage der Villen für Mietwagen. Allgemein: Eine Asphaltierung der Zufahrtsstraße wäre sicher kein Luxus - Zufahrt zu insgesamt drei vermieteten Villen.

We had a real nice stay in the area, we followed your advise to say hello to Spiros at the Taverna Vatalos, we werde offered a frappe from the house. The key was in the locker as advised, the description to find the villa was perfect. There is no noise whatsoever, only the sound of waves and wind. We decided to make half home cooking and half eating out. The Akrotiro Vatalos bay is well situated for excursions to Chora Sfakia, Frangokastello and Plakias. Many supermarkets and tavernas in the neighborhood. A car is useful. The beach in front is a bit rocky, but you can go to Frangokastello and get sunbeds on a sandy beach. We would return at any time .
