Beautiful, Well-Managed Hotel with Solid Service A very good experience at the Sofitel Hongqiao. The staff were kind and made a noticeable effort to be helpful, which I valued. The staff are very good, giving advice and communicating at a good level. The bedroom is big and comfortable, but cleaning is not much, maybe because the staff do not dare to touch the customers. There is a shuttle bus service to the airport, to the exhibition building, and help when I have a problem with losing my phone on the taxi and helping to coordinate very well. Full 10, I give 100. The only downside is that this area is very far from the subway, making travel not very convenient.

The restaurant is a disaster! no dinner served, at the bar we had to wait almost 2 hr for a Burger. The hotel is very good, breakfast is also good, but is amazing that there is no proper restaurant working in this hotel. Another point is that there is almost NO staff speaking English.

One of the receptionist made the payment not correct and not proactive to introduce restaurant, while others are friendly and proactively to introduce. When checking out, the receptionist is too busy and the hotel only arrange one more staff to help. The breakfast staff also made wrong order and didn’t have meal ready until we asked, however the restaurant dons out and cook noodles for us for free. Mix feeling of the service. The hardware is overall good.

If i could i would attach picture's to justify my review. Ordered a beef burger when I arrived, inside was raw. Told the staff they said they can bring new i refused as it made me feel disgusted eating raw meat. Had food poisoning, went to the hospital the hotel staff did not care they said "sorry im just a worker" as quoted by the manager. No apology No care. This hotel is not 5 star worthy.
