The Hotel is in a very good central location. Upon arrival we were given to room cards for room 143 unfortunately neither of them worked so a trip back to reception to exchange. The room was a Superior grade and was a good size and looked new. Comfy super king size bed, it’s a shame that most of the flooring was Laminate or LVT as this made it cold to walk on. The view from the window was like looking from a prison, the derelict John Lewis and multi story car park looking very sad. We were staying on the first floor in what they call a superior room so I was expecting a slightly better view. The biggest complaint was the laundry lorry parking outside our window then proceeding to load and unload laundry at 06:15am. This went on for the best part of 45mins which wasn’t ideal on a Sunday morning. Upon checkout I voiced my complaint to the receptionist who told me if I wanted any sort of redress I’d have to email the manager.

Lovely hotel

This has been recently refurbished and made into a hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and shower was great. We have stopped in a few hotels in Sheffield when visiting our daughter and have always been slightly disappointed either with the rooms or parking. Parking is in the q park but if you book in advance with a code from the hotel it's way cheaper. The only down side was the breakfast. The food is a way away from the tables and you have to walk back and forward a few times if you are having your toast, tea and fry up. This was the only issue and this will be our go to hotel in future.

Staff was nice and the room was clean. I decided to eat in the hotel Resturant on the recommendation of the reception staff. Please don’t do that mistake. Food was dreadful. Lamb chops were rubbery and the Roti was awful. The Resturant staff didn’t charge for the Roti. Nonetheless the food for that price was poor. I was offered a on the horse cheesecake which I only took a single bite from!!! It was clearly bought off a supermarket and defrosted to serve. I even got an upset stomach the next morning. Quite disappointed
