Farmstead is a good place to stay in Shipshewana. The room was very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. The room we were in was nice but there seemed to be no sound proofing with our neighbors. We could hear in surprising detail the conversations our neighbors were having on their phone. So loud and annoying. We didn't complain to the front desk because this all started around 9:30 in the evening. We were already prepared for bed so it seemed easier to put up with it. We like this place to stay but this visit was not the best experience.

Hard beds

We had a bad experience with their king bed!!! It was very uncomfortable, we only got a few hours sleep that night!! We told them about it and they did change us into another room and it was much better but still a harder bed then we're use to, woke up this morning with sore backs!

Great place to stay. Close to everything. We walked with the kids to the flea market across the street and to almost all of the local shops. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very quiet. Beds were comfy and hotel was very clean. Pool area was great with full size pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub that was actually hot. Outdoor playground was great for the kids, but could use some updating. Breakfast was included. The offerings were the same each day. Food was adequate, but not fantastic. No fresh fruit. Would def stay here again.

Comfortable and nice place to stay

Check-in was very easy. The desk clerk was polite and offered us a booklet about local shops and tourist sites. The room was larger than we expected with two nicely padded recliner chairs and very clean. Housekeeping had left a note welcoming us. Their towels were very thick and soft. the breakfast buffet had the usual selections of hot and cold items. It was a nice large dining area with tablecloths and windows all around with a view of a small playground for kids that we thought was a nice thing for them to have as there were young families staying there and the kids were able to play while the parents could sit and easily keep an eye on them from inside. We did not use it, but the pool looked really inviting.

Our double queen room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast choices included eggs, sausage potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereal, and yogurt. There is a nice sized pool for adults and older children as well as a kiddie pool. We enjoyed the large hot tub. We have stayed several times before and have never been disappointed with this hotel.

Just three ladies on a girls getaway to Northern Indiana. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had an extra rollaway bed and it was no problem at all. Plenty of room. It was nice to have breakfast provided. There were eggs and sausages and biscuits and gravy and potatoes and all of the extras. So appreciated.

Quiet & Comfortable Stay

Met my siblings there for a funeral. The front desk were gracious and very accommodating. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was only a one night stay but I'd return again to enjoy the surrounding community.
