Unwind in the opulent "Deer Valley" master suite, boasting a plush king-size bed and a luxurious jetted tub in the ensuite bathroom. The charming "Hibernation Station" features a cozy queen bed adorned with delightful bear-themed décor, while the "Wolf Den" offers a cozy retreat for kids with two twin beds and a futon. Just moments from Rainbow Lake and a short drive from Sunrise Mountain Ski Resort, our home serves as a gateway to a plethora of year-round adventures, from scenic lift rides to thrilling downhill mountain biking. Outdoor enthusiasts will delight in exploring the numerous lakes, streams, and hiking trails in the vicinity. Hosts are wonderful and very quick to respond to any messages, and we so enjoy staying at their house. We love the front patio, back deck and lovely home. We have gone back for the last 3 years and will go again next year. And, they are pet friendly.

It was the perfect place for our family to stay. It is close to everything yet isolated from busy roads and noise. It is very spacious and clean, with all the amenities and everything you need. They responded quickly to our request and checked in to see if we had any questions or needed anything.

We had a great time visiting Pinetop at the Hilltop Hideaway. Hosts were great, check in and stay went smoothly so we did not require any additional assistance. House and amenities were exactly as described. We have stayed up in Pinetop at different VRBOs each year over several years, this property has secured 1st place with us and the dog as well. :)Our dog loved the big fenced yard and the closed front porch as well. There are other dogs on the other bordering properties, so if you have reactive dogs that would be bothered by occasional barking / standard dog behaviors you may want to prepare for that. Neighbors were friendly. Plenty of room to park and relax. Overall we had a great time and would love to visit again!

Does NOT Disappoint!We are repeat guests and find this property checks all the boxes. Randy is absolutely excellent and very hands-on and easy to communicate with. Lakeside - Lake of the Woods

Randy was an excellent host. The house was as described and his communication was excellent. Really loved the location - close to so many of the activities we enjoy. Just wish the fishing was a little better - lol.

Nice, clean home. We love the special touches, like S’mores to enjoy. The owner was very communicative and helpful, which I also appreciated. The neighbors surrounding leave their dogs out all day and into the night and there was constant dog barking. Absolutely no fault of the owner.

Pros and Cons

Pros: Beautiful, well decorated cabin with lots of activities. Big gorgeous yard that is well fenced for our little dog and huge deck with fire pit, table and other areas to relax and watch TV outside. Well stocked with everything you need. Would stay again except..Cons: Communication with host wasn't great. At first they responded quickly with walking directions to lake that was "10-15 minutes" It is NOT, after 25 minutes of walking we had to turn around and carry our little pug back to cabin because he couldn't walk any farther. The internet went out and we tried to reach host with no reply. Also tried to reach host about a later check out due to no sleep from bed quality and still no response. Even after check out, still have not heard from host. There are also barking dogs on each side of yard that started our little guy every time he went out. The main reason we cannot stay again is the master bed was so uncomfortable we got very little sleep over our two night stay. We actually even tried sleeping on the recliners on the couch the second night but tried the bed after awhile and woke up needing Motrin and thankfully a heating pad we had brought. But the property and cabin are adorable.

Great stay in Pinetop!

I took my family to Pinetop for a quick getaway and to go skiing. The location of this property was great. Close to all the restaurants and also in walking distance to Rainbow Lake. The home was fully stocked w/ everything we needed to cook meals. We came back from a long day of skiing, put some burgers on the grill, put the fire on, and relaxed and watched a movie. The house was clean and communicating w/ the owner was great. The backyard was large and great for our dog. This was a great stay for my family and and we are happy to recommend this property to anyone!

Best deck ever!

We absolutely loved hanging out on the deck drinking coffee in the morning, watching the games on the tv outside and chilling in the hammocks listening to music. Above all, if you have fur babies, they will LOVE the huge back yard!

Family vacation

This was my third time staying here. House is clean. Enough room for 4 audits. Dogs love the big fully fenced yard. Owner responded quickly when advised the coffee pot was not working. Would stay here again

Peaceful in the pines.

Quiet home is wooded area. Nice yard fenced for dogs. Many outdoor activities provided by owner (corn hole, badmitten, etc). Nice fire pit and smores bar. Spent the week enjoying the atea from this location. .

Summer visit to Lakeside

This is our 2nd visit to this property. This year, we stayed for 3 weeks, to get of the summer heat in Mesa AZ. We love the house, the yard, the front patio and back deck, fire pit…and so much more. The host is always quick to respond to any message. We hope to be back again next year.

Heavenly stay at the Hideaway

We are repeat guests at the Hideaway. Very grateful for the chance to spend 2 weeks enjoying the escape from the heat. The property owners are so attentive, and communication is fantastic, we felt very welcome. The property and all the amenities make for a lovely stay, very close to some great day trip options if desired or just relaxing on the extended patio in the pines. We would love the chance to return, perhaps with a longer-term rental. Only dislike (VRBO) their fees are obscene, the owners deserve those funds. IMO.
