Aimee at the pool provided excellent service. Could improve on housekeeping. View from 246 was amazing. The TV and channels were spotty, they had to come change it and still it didn't work well. It is an older property, but though door area was good and proximity to the beach was excellent. Overall it was really nice though and for the price it was a good value.

Property needs a bit of remodeling or updating a few things. for example the Ice machines had mold. The air filter in the room needed to be replaced. It had dust like it hasn’t been replaced in a long time.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It helped us be conveniently and closely connected to our relatives. Additionally, it was so easy with our dogs. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that there was too much dog poop with little clean up bags around. Also, the security at the pool during the day was very rude to not only us, but the children in our group. There seems to be a lack of communication, and he chose if and when he was going to implement rules for certain people. He continued to escalate situations rather than try and listen. Other than that, our stay was great and we will most likely be back.

We stayed in the cabanas where there was no elevator access and entry/steps/ walking area was dirty . Room had a funny smell and balcony was dirty. The pictures online are very misleading. Pool was dirty Saturday and we were there starting at 10am. Hot tubs were filthy and Luke warm. Also no lifeguard on duty for a very busy pool ! Front staff was very nice at check in and check out . The girl who worked at the coffee shop was not nice. She didn’t smile and just seemed like she didn’t want to make coffee orders. Over priced !

Have been going to Isla Grand for over 20 years staff always friendly i have no complaints except for one security guard at the pool.we understand he's just doing his job like not allowing ice chests in pool area but there's a way to talk to people if you give attitude your gonna get it right back and as long as we've been going we know the do's and dont's he seems to enjoy harassing us asking like where we bought the beer we're drinking mind you there's a pool bar and one inside so it's insulting that he asks and we've told him time and again to go ask bartenders at both bars cause we buy from both 😡 even our grandkids ask why he keeps telling their grandpa something ..but overall love love La Isla Grand family friendly plenty of activities for the kids they love it there and it's because of them that we keep going back

This place is a Motel 6 with a restaurant. Room smelled of old smoke & bug spray. Pillows were filled with knots. The balcony was in such poor shape, we couldnt even go out onto it. The best part of all...there is no elevator! Had to pull bags up 2 flights of stairs outside in the heat with no help!! If you want a room it shows on line you must rent the 2 room suites!! This is not explained at any point when checking in. You can hear every sound that is near by your room..our neighbors decided it was a good idea to smoke weed so we had the pleasure of smelling that all night as well. Front desk help is a bunch of kids that could care kess if your happy or not! If you plan to go to South Padre please stay clear of this atrocity!! Full of locals that use it as a daytime hang out & are treated much better than those of us that fly in to visit. Terrible Terrible location...8.1 rating is absolutely false & i cant say that enough. Please belive this is nothing more than a bad motel 6 Thank goodness we were only visiting for a weekend. :(
