The stay at the Marriott Spartanburg SC was extremely nice. Everyone was very accommodating to the extent of going out of their way to make sure everything was right . The rooms were clean, the bathroom towels were REAL TOWELS 😁 and all the staff were respectful and willing to assist in any way.

Disappointing stay – in real need of refurbishment We stayed at the Spartanburg Marriott for Parents Weekend, and while the location is convenient, that’s about where the positives end. Prices were hiked up to an eye-watering $770 a night – around three times the usual rate – which would have been fine if the hotel actually lived up to it. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The place feels very dated. The room we were given had tired furniture, worn carpets, and generally felt neglected. We were told twice that we’d been upgraded, but the upgrade never materialised. For the inflated price, you’d at least expect a bit of polish – or at the very least, free Wi-Fi and breakfast – but neither were included. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience. The hotel has a good location, but it’s badly in need of refurbishment and a rethink on value for money.
