Remember, there’s no cell signal up here on the mountain. It’s an intentional break from the constant buzz of the digital world. Embrace the chance to unplug, slow down, and soak in the peace and quiet. Of course, if staying connected is a must, WiFi is available.
During the winter, chains may be required and it is possible to get snowed in. Please be prepared and check the weather conditions. For winter use, if the driveway needs to be cleared of snow, there will be an additional charge.
Guest access: Before your stay, you’ll receive a welcome message with more specific information.
Things to Keep in Mind:
~ Our cabin is nestled within a National Monument, not inside the National Parks. It’s roughly a two-hour drive due to winding mountain roads. But don’t worry—you’ll still be surrounded by awe-inspiring Giant Sequoias.
~ There is no cell reception in the area. Be sure to print or download your directions in advance, as GPS won’t work and you won’t be able to rely on mobile access once you’re on the mountain.
~ During winter months, snowstorms can impact access. While the local roads are regularly plowed, delays do happen. We strongly recommend a 4WD vehicle and snow chains, just in case the driveway needs clearing or conditions become challenging.
~ At the time of booking, the host will require photos of a valid government ID (ex: driver's licenses, passport) for all guests through the messaging system. And the phone number of the booking guest. This in case there are any emergencies.
~ Just a heads-up—there are security cameras outside the house, one facing the front door/driveway and another covering the driveway, and lawn. They're there for everyone's safety. No cameras inside, of course!
This cabin has brought so much joy to our lives, and we hope it does the same for you. We’re excited to welcome you and are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible—your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities!
If you have any special requests or need accommodations, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll be happy to assist.
