Ideal for families and golfers alike, 8b Howard Place is an impeccably decorated apartment situated in one of the most sought-after, central locations of St Andrews.

Set across the basement level within a traditional Georgian townhouse, this light spacious apartment is perfectly located for easy access to the centre of town just a few steps away, including West Sands beach and The Old Course which are only a 5 minute walk around the corner.

You enter the home through the vestibule, into the welcoming hall. To the front of the property there are two bedrooms, one superking or twin and the other a king. There is a master bathroom just off the hall equipped with a bath.

At the end of the hall is the heart of the home - the living room. This spacious room overlooks the private patio to the rear, with large traditional sash and case windows. Many of the traditional Georgian features are retained throughout the home, providing a characterful yet cosy base for your St Andrews' staycation.

The traditional Scottish ‘country home' theme can be felt throughout the apartment, and particularly into the kitchen. Equipped with all that is required for your stay, the spacious kitchen/dining room is the ideal room for evening entertainment. There is a separate utility room which houses the washer/dryer and is ideal for storing golf clubs and prams. To the rear is the last of the three bedrooms, which is a double. There is also a separate shower room.

The back door is between the kitchen and rear bedroom area which leads you to the private patio, which is completely enclosed and equipped with outdoor seating.

For four golfers being a 5 minute walk to the Old Course was ideal. Very nice Unit that, while in a lower level, manages to feel light and airy with large windows. Would stay again.

perfect for golf and not golf

book this as soon as you see it... it is perfect- it is a good as it looks. location is 5 min walk to old course - short enough to carry your clubs but for my group, it was more perfect for those of us who stayed and walked around St Andrews. we had 6 people so the 3 bedrooms was perfect, and 2 baths was essential. The bedrooms are nicely separated front and back of the house and living and kitchen are large enough for all of us. Kitchen is very very nicely supplied... just look inside the top drawer to find the hidden drawer of eating utensils (I will admit to missing that the first day) There is a great pub half a block away (Blue Stane) the bus station is half a block away ( we did train and bus from edinburg super easy) walking around the town, shopping and eating and easy return to 8b whenever we needed to drop off packages or change clothes- Grocery store called TESCO is very close too. it is on opposite end of the CAstle and Cathedral but walking thru the university is half the fun. Management was responsive to calls, the only downside was the taxi out to get the key because we got there later than expected but not their fault and the key was exactly where they said.. and I did enjoy the scenic trip and the taxi guy gave me tips.
